This week, I will provide a preview for each game in week four of the 5A level by conference, up next is the Mid-Willamette Conference. I will include predictions for each game and highlight some players from each team to watch, based on their recent performances.
#3 West Albany (3-0) @ #9 Dallas (2-1)
Prediction: West Albany def. Dallas 42-20.
West Albany had a huge win last week, scoring a whopping 77 points against Woodburn. Lukas Hews Lukas Hews 6'4" | 190 lbs | QB West Albany | 2024 State OR played exceptionally well, scoring 5 touchdowns (2 passing and 3 rushing) and leading the team to a well-deserved victory. Dallas also had an impressive win last week, beating Lebanon 36-20. Although this upcoming game between West Albany and Dallas could be a close one, Dallas would need to bring their A-game to compete with the star power of the Bulldogs.

#4 Silverton (3-0) @ South Albany (1-2)
Prediction: Silverton def. South Albany 49-14.
Silverton is performing remarkably well and is close to climbing the rankings. South Albany had a hard time offensively last week, losing 6-8 to McKay. They are expected to face similar difficulties once again against the much stronger defense of Silverton. Sawyer Teeney Sawyer Teeney 6'0" | 185 lbs | QB Silverton | 2025 State OR is predicted to perform well in this match, leading the Foxes to a comfortable victory.

Central (0-3) @ Crescent Valley (2-1)
Prediction: Crescent Valley def. Central 36-22.
Although the records indicate that Crescent Valley has a clear advantage, I have concerns that they may struggle against the size and physicality of Central. If they aren’t careful, the Raiders might lose this game. However, I believe that Rocco McClave Rocco McClave 6'2" | 180 lbs | QB Crescent Valley | 2024 State OR will have a great performance and lead his team to victory. Even if his offensive line doesn’t hold up, he should be able to make plays with his running abilities. They should win this game if Crescent Valley plays up to their potential.

Corvallis (2-1) @ Lebanon (0-3)
Prediction: Lebanon def. Corvallis 35-22.
Although the records may suggest a clear winner, a closer look at the teams and their schedules reveals that Lebanon has faced some tough opponents, while Corvallis’ two victories have come against Central (0-3) and Crescent Valley (2-1) without their star QB in the fourth quarter. With D1 talent in their team, Lebanon should be motivated to secure their first win of the season, especially since they are playing at home.

McKay (2-1) @ Woodburn (0-3)
Prediction: McKay def Woodburn 35-12.
Based on their impressive performance thus far, it seems likely that McKay will emerge victorious in this match. Woodburn has been struggling this season, and it is unlikely that their fortunes will change anytime soon, particularly given the difficulty of the conference they are competing in. As such, this should be an easy win for the Scots.
