Seth Walton
Runs with decisiveness and executes the play as designed. Does a nice job of recognizing cutback lanes, and his clean, subtle footwork allows him to shuffle into holes or navigate through congestion effectively; reliably gets what’s blocked for him. Shows impressive burst in the hole and solid top-end speed to rip off big runs. Can occasionally sidestep early penetration to salvage short gains or get back to the line of scrimmage. Some ability to run through arm tackles or spin-off of contact for additional yardage. Generally does a pretty good job of finishing runs by falling forward.
Josh Griffin
Josh Griffin
Smart, no-nonsense rushing style; has good patience and vision, with very quick feet to shuffle and find lanes between the tackles. Efficiently moves through tight spaces to find yardage. Refrains from bouncing too many runs outside. Shows good contact balance and the ability to make defenders miss in space; very nice jump cuts make him difficult to bring down. Finishes runs by lowering the shoulder, driving his legs after contact, and falling forward.
Kingston Tolbert
Kingston Tolbert
One-cut runner with enough speed to threaten the edge and who shows good burst to plant and get upfield when the hole is there. Gets defenders to overcommit to flowing laterally and is able to work back inside and find yardage. Makes solid cuts to find rushing lanes from the backfield, and vision is good enough to recognize opportunities to make something out of nothing. Agility is one of his major strengths; has excellent jump-cuts, is able to make defenders miss in the hole in one-on-one situations, and can be very hard to tackle in the open field.
Has a smooth game and is able to change speeds effectively. Shows adequate patience and vision to let blocking develop and recognize cutback lanes. Clean footwork when shuffling to find a hole, and doesn’t waste any time hitting when he finds an opportunity, showing adequate burst. Runs with a low center of gravity and appropriate knee-bend. Able to squeeze through pockets for yardage. Can slip by defenders in a phone booth. Runs through arm tackles in the open field.
Nate Barron
Nate Barron
Very smooth runner whose overall set of athletic tools is impressive, with very good burst and speed; has the ability to hit home runs when he finds a lane, and can seemingly outrace defenders to the corner on outside rushes at will. Has good vision to recognize cutback lanes, but is generally a no-nonsense runner who executes the play as drawn up.
