I’ve been traveling around New England each weekend catching live-action games looking for rising talent and viewing identified prospects perform in a live setting. In this report, I will preview prospects I observed play in a live-action game that stood out and caught my attention during weeks of travel. I will also include all top prospects’ names given to me by their respective coaches while attending these games. This is volume 2 of a continuing report.
Eric Perkins The senior DB is a confident athlete with the ability to make special plays happen. He is quick and electric. Just prior to viewing him play opening night, I asked him to give me something to write about. He opened the game with a dynamic 91 yard Kick Return. rnHe has a very lean frame with good muscle and speed. He played lock down the entire game at corner and was alos very good in run support needs. Projected Div 1 recruit.
Highlights
Chris Holts Chris Holts 6’3″ | 230 lbs | OL Mansfield Ma. | 2025 New E . A name given to me by his assistant coach prior to the season opener game. He wasn’t available to play in the season opener due to a thigh injury. rnHe was present and a quick eye test showed he has a very large frame with a solid base. Was observed being involved in the game although not playing by helping teammates as they subbed in and out of the game. Appears to have leadership qualities. Assistant Coach says he is a solid prospect to know and is only a junior.
Peter Bourque Peter Bourque 6’4″ | 195 lbs | QB Tabor Academy | 2027 New E . In his Sophomore season opener, he delivered like many expected. He displayed very good composure in the pocket and appeared very comfortable behind center. He showed very good poise though out the game.
He threw the ball with good power in his short throws and accuracy in the longer throws. I was impressed to how he never panicked when being pressured and was easily able to avoid sacks by using his legs while keeping eyes downfield.
Highlights
Caleb Garrity Caleb Garrity 6’1″ | 175 lbs | WR Catholic Memorial | 2026 State New E is a rising wide receiver who has very good body control and balance. He flashed the ability to run crisp routes and knows how to find the ball when it is in the air. Has a very good catch radius and makes many of his catches with his hands away from the body. Had a solid season game opener and will likely be a productive receiver all season as a rising sophomore.
Highlights
Jaden Moseley Jaden Moseley 6’3″ | 175 lbs | QB Lasalle Academy RI. | 2024 State New E . On his opening night debut at QB he had 3 passing TDS | 180 passing yards in his 2nd career varsity start. He is a solid 6’3″ with a lean frame. Has a nice touch on the ball and uses good placement for receivers to be successful.rnHis lower body displayed good footwork and balance. He has very good pocket awareness and knows when to step up or vacate the pocket. This season is his first season in the starting role after playing behind several college bound prospects. He will likely see additional college attention rise during and after the fall season.
Antonio Bearden Antonio Bearden 6’2″ | 165 lbs | ATH Rhode Island | 2026 New E is a name known on the 7v7 circuit where I first saw him perform. He is now a rising sophomore with a promising future. Standing 6’0″ and lean, he is a solid defender. He was efficient in not letting receivers get separation the entire game. He can tackle in space and effectively tackle on the edge. Played corner the majority of the game. Evertime I see him in compete, I get a sense he has the desire to continue putting in the technical work needed in his skill set. This will surely attract college coaches.
Highlights
Michael Bonsu Michael Bonsu 5’9″ | 180 lbs | DB Dexter Southfield | 2024 State New E . He was a pleasure to see play live. Has a skill set on both sides of the ball that defines his special athletic abilities. It seemed everytime a big play was needed, the name “Bonsu” was heard. He is a lean muscular 5’9″ athlete that is twitchy at times. Flashes a good amount of quickness and speed in his skill set. On offense I observed him lined up in the slot position. rnHas reliable hands and knows where the ball is when it is in the air. On defense, he does a really nice job on press man coverages while still being able to see the field for run support needs. Gets off blocks and reacts to run support needs extremely quickly all while striking through the ball carries for the tackle. Make no mistake, “Bonsu” can play and he plays with a sense of urgency!!!
Nathan Bowes Nathan Bowes 6’0″ | 180 lbs | QB Kingswood Oxford | 2024 State New E . A name and player not well known to me prior to this game. He showed out to play and definitely can play. Listed at 6ft on the roster, I see him at approximately 5’10-5’11. He has exceptional athletic coordination. rnHe is best described as a running style athlete playing QB and he delivered even in the passing game. Made a few nice throws on the run for direct strikes. Knows when to break the pocket and use his feet to extend plays. Has a very confident nature about himself. Can get the ball out quickly when needed. He is currently committed to Sacred Heart University for baseball. He is #8 in Video below.
