Continue ReadingMy travels have brought me around New England each weekend catching live-action games while looking for rising talent, and viewing identified prospects perform in a live setting. In this report, I will preview prospects I observed play in a live-action game that stood out and caught my attention during weeks of travel. I will also include all top prospects’ names given to me by their respective coaches while attending these games.
Thomas Kubera Thomas Kubera 6’3″ | 215 lbs | LB Boston College | 2024 State New E He grabbed my attention with his leadership skills and then followed it up with his performance. A large downhill MLB that can fill quickly and maintain gap integrity. He is vocal and was observed directing and instructing other teammates before and after each play. His frame has good length and he can get off blocks quickly while keeping eyes on the target ball carrier and make the play. Has good instincts to read pass or run and react with quickness. He enjoys meeting ball carriers in the gap and uses a wrap and roll tackling technique to make the play.
Highlights
Vincent Busa Vincent Busa 6’0″ | 180 lbs | LB Xaverian Brothers | 2025 State New E He is a quick linebacker with good speed. On the second oplay of the game, he chased down a ball carrier for a impressive tackle that was going away from him to opposite side of the field, after penatrating the line of scrimmage. On another play, i observed him read the field from his OLB position, and jump a pass that he took to the house for a TD. He has very good instincts and a nose for the ball. He tackles with an aggressive strike through the body and was seen being involved in many defensive plays. HUDL
Amin Abbassi Amin Abbassi 6’1″ | 210 lbs | LB Bridgewater-Raynham | 2024 State New E A physical edge defender who can lineup as a defensive-end or outside linebacker. I observed him mainly setting the edge and stringing out plays to the sideline with aggressive hand technique and quick feet. He showed good strength at the point of attack. His lateral quickness and balance are solid. Gave consistent effort throughout the game. Has a productive speed rush that put pressure on the QB to make quicker decisions.
Highlights
Micah Amedee Micah Amedee 6’3″ | 275 lbs | DL Xaverian Brothers | 2025 State New E Was a pleasure to finally see this big guy play in a live setting against live top talent. He was positioned at the left tackle for the game. He is a late transfer to his new school Xaverian Brothers in Westwood, Ma. His play stood out to me in many phases and caught my attention on several pass blocking situations. He moves his feet well. He displayed good ankles & knee bend with a quick first step that defined his body quickness.rn
I observed very good mental instincts with good body control as critical factors that stood out. He executed a nice hip unlock on run fits. Used very good hand placement and gave a repeated effort on both run and pass plays. I expect he will have a spark in his recruitment after this season. HUDL
