Junior quarterback Eli Friend Eli Friend 6'1" | 195 lbs | QB Isidore Newman | 2025 State LA ‘s six touchdowns and a disruptive push up front defensively highlighted an eventual 49-31 defeat of Many in one of the state’s most high-profile Week 4 matchups, a dominant showing in a top-10 battle.
Brett Bordelon Brett Bordelon 6'5" | 315 lbs | OL Isidore Newman | 2025 State LA | 6-5, 290 OL | Isidore Newman (2025)
The LSU commit anchored a Newman offensive line that shook back from a rough start, made adjustments and then kept the Tigers’ stout defense largely at bay much of the rest of the evening. A trio of seniors in Bordelon and Heid Manning at the left and right tackles, respectively, and Brandon Wilkins inside at center stood out.
Swazy Carheel Swazy Carheel 6'3" | 230 lbs | DL Many | 2024 State LA | 6-3, 240 DL | Many (2024)
The highly recruited senior edge rusher lived in the Newman backfield the first two possession, spearheading a rush that also saw Omarious Davis, Mason Leach, Jonas Hendrickson and Levi Booker heavily involved. Carheel seemed to hurry or hit the Greenies’ quarterback on almost every play on the first couple drives, including a forced fumble that set up Many’s first touchdown.
Jacob Dusansky | K | Isidore Newman (2024)
The Greenies’ senior kicker drilled all seven of his extra-point attempts. And while Newman finished drives efficiently enough that Dusansky didn’t get to show his strong leg on field goals, he did boom each of his kickoffs into and through the end zone.
Eli Friend Eli Friend 6'1" | 195 lbs | QB Isidore Newman | 2025 State LA | 6-1, 195 QB | Isidore Newman (2025)
The heir to Arch Manning at the helm of the Greenies’ offense continued his impressive start to the season with more than 300 yards of total offense, four passing touchdowns and two more rushing. He weathered Many’s smothering early rush and the Tigers’ corresponding early leads, didn’t bat an eye and proceeded to make one impressive play after another from his dimes all over the field to his ability to escape pressure, make defenders miss and flash good open-field speed for longer gains.
Jeremiah James Jeremiah James 5'10" | 170 lbs | RB Many | 2024 State LA | 5-10, 170 RB | Many (2024)
The Tigers’ senior running back was aggressive from the outset, hitting the holes hard and getting to the second level in a hurry, with his highlights including consecutive carries on the team’s first drive to help set up the first score of the game, a juking 20-yard run in third quarter making multiple defenders miss and finally a 70-yard breakaway in the fourth.
Peter Loop Peter Loop 5'9" | 160 lbs | WR Isidore Newman | 2024 State LA | 5-9, 160 WR | Isidore Newman (2024)
The older of two Loop brothers — both of whom caught touchdown passes — caught a pass downfield late in the first quarter that appeared to help the Newman offense settle in and start clicking. He then caught a pair of second-quarter touchdowns as the Greenies began to fully hit their stride. The senior finished with five catches for 98 yards and the two scores, showing his quickness in both his route-running and the return game, his consistent reliability both to get open and securely catch passes in stride and his toughness for his size battling for extra yardage.
Jake Randle Jake Randle 5'10" | 170 lbs | RB Isidore Newman | 2026 State LA | 5-10, 170 RB | Isidore Newman (2026)
The sophomore provided a nice balance in the backfield to friend with 13 carries for 82 yards and a long touchdown run on which he eluded defenders in the box, broke away from most of the defense and kept his balance and fought off a final attempted tackle near the goal line.
Tylen Singleton Tylen Singleton 6'1" | 210 lbs | DB Many | 2024 State LA | 6-2, 210 DB/ATH | Many (2024)
The LSU commit played big in all three phases, flying around the box on defense and making plays near or behind the line, having a nice punt return on special teams and scoring Many’s first two touchdowns — a 6-yard run and a highlight-reel catch over a defender and long run for an 85-yard strike in all.
Felipe Suazo | 6-2, 180 LB/DL | Isidore Newman (2024)
The speedy edge athlete racked up nine tackles, three sacks and a fumble recovery as one of a few Greenies defenders in the box who consistently disrupted and frustrated Many’s possessions — including William Darragh, Isaiah Grant Isaiah Grant 6'2" | 225 lbs | LB Isidore Newman | 2024 State LA and the big man in the middle who wraps up this list.
Justin Wells | 6-1, 240 DL | Isidore Newman (2025)
The stout defensive tackle anchored the Greenies’ effort up front with his combination of strength and quickness wreaking havoc inside as he continually burst into the backfield for disruptive plays, including a forced fumble in the second quarter that provided a notable spark and multiple tackles behind the line.
