Deuel-
’24 QB/DB Trey Maaland Trey Maaland QB Deuel | 2024 State SD – 14/27, 211 yds., 3 TD’s. 13 rush, 75 yds., TD.
Stats speak big here, but his experience was the big difference maker on the field. Offense and defense, he had everyone in the right place and made the plays that came to him.
’25 WR/DB Gabe Sather Gabe Sather ATH Deuel | 2025 State SD – 6 rec., 128 yds., 3 TD’s. 5 tackles.
Really gave us a passing threat the whole game from anywhere on the field. He was in really good sync with the QB and sparked a lot of the offensive production. Also contained the perimeter on the defensive side.
’24 TE/DB Dexter Unzen– 2 rec., 24 yds., 5 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 INT.
Emerged as another reliable target for the offense to keep us in motion. Also adding a good extra blocker to the edge of the offensive line. Lastly was the difference maker on the defensive side, filling gaps and making tackles close to the line of scrimmage.
’25 OL/LB Reed VanWormer– 11 tackles, 1 TFL.
Became the wildcard on the defensive side. Read his keys and reacted to the play quickly. Met the ball carriers in the gap and stuck them in their tracks. He also added a good blocker to spark the running game by opening gaps.
’24 OL/DL Robert Begalka Robert Begalka 6'0" | 235 lbs | OL Deuel | 2024 State SD – 7 tackles, .5 sack.
Mostly defensive stats, but his play spoke volumes on both sides of the ball. Completely shut down the run game on his side of the line of scrimmage. On the offensive side, he opened up huge running gaps and had great pass protection for the QB.
Clark- Willow Lake-
’25 RB/LB Griffin Musser provided the spark for the offense to get their offense moving. Also doubled over on defense flying around and making tackles all over the field.
’25 RB/LB Elliot Bratland was also a good run stuffer and made a lot of tackles around the line of scrimmage. On offense, he was primarily a good lead blocker, but also added a good rushing threat.
’24 OL/LB Collin Gaikowski opened a lot of gaps for the running game. Flying around on down blocks and pulls and driving defenders out. Defensively, was also a run plugger in a good LB corps. He made a lot of fundamentally sound tackles.
’26 LB Ernesto Garcia really sealed the edge on run support. He did his job each and every play and kept big plays from breaking out on his side. Lastly, breaking down and making perfect tackles on the edge.
’26 DB Cooper Pommer showed a lot of potential at DB. He has good attributes at a young age and really stepped up in the game. Keeping up with receivers well and making plenty of good tackles in run support and pass coverage.
