Alta Hawks
The Hawks return plenty of talent on both sides of the ball that made them one of the toughest teams in 5A last fall. Quarterback Matt McKea Matt McKea 6'2" | 200 lbs | QB Alta | 2025 State UT is back to lead what should be one of the state’s most efficient offenses. McKea possesses a potent arm and is exceptionally accurate. Receiver Jaxon Toala Jaxon Toala 6'2" | 175 lbs | WR West | 2026 State UT should be in for a big year, making several big plays in the process. The Offensive line should once again be elite with Siosaia Lapuaho Siosaia Lapuaho 6'4" | 300 lbs | OL Alta | 2024 State UT leading the group up front. Linebacker Kalvin Liavaa and defensive back Abe Jager Abe Jager 6'1" | 165 lbs | DB Alta | 2025 State UT should make plenty of big stops. The Hawks defense will also be bolstered by the addition of one of the states best players in linebacker Peizge Mailei Peizge Mailei 6'0" | 210 lbs | LB Highland | 2024 State UT . Alta and Head Coach Alema Jones will be contending for much more than the Region title this fall.
Olympus Titans
Olympus will be tough to handle each Friday night. The Titans, under Head Coach Brandon Burt, have the chance to win Region 6 and contend for a state championship. Luke Bryant Luke Bryant 6'1" | 190 lbs | ATH Olympus | 2024 State UT is one of the state’s best players and will be making things happen on both sides of the ball. Quarterback Chase Moseley should help the Titans offense reach new heights in 2023. Defensively Nash Taylor Nash Taylor 6'2" | 205 lbs | DB Olympus | 2024 State UT and Weston Olsen Weston Olsen 6'0" | 195 lbs | LB Olympus | 2024 State UT are going to be flying all over the field slowing down offenses. Look for defensive back James Schlendorf James Schlendorf 5'11" | 150 lbs | DB Olympus | 2025 State UT to pick off serval passes this season.
West Panthers
The Panthers have one of the best rosters in the 5A classification. Quarterback Isaiah SueSue Isaiah SueSue 6'0" | 180 lbs | QB West | 2024 State UT is one of the state’s most dynamic signal callers. West is loaded with talented linemen who will help them dominate the trenches on both sides of the ball. The offensive line features talented players like Nuku Mafi Nuku Mafi 6'4" | 295 lbs | OL West | 2024 State UT , Semisi Tonga Semisi Tonga 6'4" | 310 lbs | OL West | 2024 State UT , and Vaea Ikakoula Vaea Ikakoula 6'4" | 310 lbs | OL West | 2025 State UT who will all be playing on Saturday in the near future. Defensive the Panthers have Alvin Puefua Alvin Puefua 6'5" | 310 lbs | DL West | 2024 State UT , Devin Roberts Devin Roberts 6'0" | 215 lbs | DL West | 2024 State UT and Leon Crutcher Leon Crutcher 6'2" | 290 lbs | DL West | 2024 State UT to help them stop the run. Linebacker Taimane Brown Taimane Brown 5'10" | 165 lbs | LB West | 2024 State UT is also one of the state’s premier tacklers. Head Coach Junior Solovi and the Panthers could win it all this fall.
East Leopards
The Leopards are always one of the toughest teams in 5A, and this year will be no different. Quarterback Dameon Crosby Dameon Crosby 6'1" | 200 lbs | QB East | 2025 State UT transferred over after a great year leading the West Jordan offense. His ability to make plays inside and outside the pocket will unlock a new dynamic for the East offense. The Leopard’s rushing attack will be imposing again, with offensive linemen Vaka Patetefa Vaka Patetefa 6'1" | 240 lbs | OL East | 2024 State UT leading the charge upfront. Defensive linemen Papa Matelau Papa Matelau 6'0" | 245 lbs | DL East | 2024 State UT is one of the state’s best pass rushers and will lead an elite East defense. Head Coach Brandon Matich and the Leopards will be contenders for the Region 6 title come late October.
