We’ll take some time this week to look at several newly ranked student-athletes that haven’t yet been more specifically highlighted in other features during the rankings release — such as the top-30 countdown.
Below are a handful of prospects ranked from No. 76 to 100 on the latest list, to add to looks this weekend at No. 31 to 50 and No. 51 to 75. on deck Monday.
Kaeden Goodman Kaeden Goodman 5'9" | 155 lbs | ATH Brother Martin | 2026 State LA | 5-8, 155 ATH | Brother Martin
Of the four Crusaders now on the 2026 list entering sophomore season, Goodman is the smallest in stature of the group, but packs big-play potential both as a pass-catcher and defensive back with his multisport athleticism, track speed and great ball skills.
Jerry Bottley IV Jerry Bottley IV 6'2" | 175 lbs | QB Southern Lab | 2026 State LA | 6-2, 175 QB | Southern Lab
The young backup to senior quarterback Marlon Brown Marlon Brown 6'1" | 190 lbs | QB Southern Lab | 2024 State LA is a tall, athletic dual-threat with a good arm and a listed 4.6-second 40-yard dash and track resume that most recently includes running legs of the Kittens’ title-winning 4×400-meter and third-place 4×200-meter relay teams at outdoor track and field state championships. Bottley is still developing as a young passer, but has some intriguing tools as he continues preparing with lots of practice, spring-game, 7-on-7, training and camp reps.
John Johnson John Johnson 6'0" | 170 lbs | QB Edna Karr | 2026 State LA | 6-0, 170 QB | Edna Karr
Another young quarterback to keep an eye on in the class — and actually much sooner than later as he takes the reins of the Cougars’ offense this fall. Johnson is another multiport athlete at the position who had a strong offseason overall of making quick decisions and accurate throws, a combination that is enough with the strong cast around him to have his team in thick of the race for a state championship. A tough schedule will provide ample opportunities to show his poise and consistency’s translation to live action week in and week out.
Jakias Villanueva Jakias Villanueva 5'6" | 140 lbs | WR St. James | 2026 State LA | 5-6, 140 WR | St. James
The quick wide receiver did a great job all offseason of setting up and shaking free from defensive backs with his route-running and explosiveness out of breaks and made his share of plays on balls up over his head with good timing and sure hands. Expectations are high for him to further show his ability this fall in pads
Dajon Beloney Dajon Beloney 5'6" | 150 lbs | ATH Plaquemine | 2026 State LA | 5-5, 140 ATH | Plaquemine
Another small, but dynamic player on the west side of the Mississippi River, the Green Devils’ rising sophomore earning all-district honors as a return man this past fall with more than 400 yards on special teams while also chipping in more than 200 yards and a couple touchdowns. Beloney is expected to see a bigger role on offense this fall with more receiving opportunities as a versatile weapon overall.
