#1. (Last Week 1) Oak Grove (1-0)
The Warriors dominated in every phase and showcased why they may be the most talented team in the state from top to bottom by handing Wayne County their largest loss in school history. On deck is a test on the road to one of Alabama’s traditional powers.

#2. (#2) Starkville (1-0)
The Jackets hold onto the number 2 spot with the margin between 1 and 2 being very slim. Trey Petty Trey Petty 6'1" | 190 lbs | QB Starkville | 2024 State MS was electric in week one as was running back Courtland Cooper who only ran 5 times for over 100 yards and 2 TD’s. It is West Point week now for the Yellow Jackets.

#3. (#4) Picayune (1-0)
The Maroon Tide picked up right where they left off in 2022 by besting 7A Brandon 28-21 and rightfully jumped up a spot this week. Chris Davis Chris Davis 6'0" | 175 lbs | RB Picayune | 2024 State MS is a man among boys offensively. Out of state test this week.

#4. (#5) Tupelo (1-0)
The Golden Wave got off to a fast start against a foe from Tennessee and did not look back. The Wave defense was stout as expected, forcing 6 turnovers.

This week: vs. Southaven
#5 (#3) Brandon (0-1)
It was a fight to the end, but the Dogs came up on the short end in week one vs. Picayune.
Last week: lost to Picayune 28-21
This week: vs. Catholic (La.)
#6. (#6) Madison Central (1-0)
The Jags were tested to the very end, coming up one point winners over Ocean Springs last week. As a young team, one would think that was the best possibly scenario for week 1. A top 10 battle is on deck this week.

This week: vs. #5 Brandon
#7. (NR) Warren Central (1-0)
The Vikings burst onto the scene with their 7th consecutive Red Carpet Bowl victory and consequently into the power rankings.

#8. (#10) South Panola (1-0)
Up two spots from last week’s initial rankings, the Tigers look to be as advertised with Julius Pope Julius Pope 6'0" | 195 lbs | ATH South Panola | 2024 State MS and Michael Johnson Michael Johnson 6'3" | 200 lbs | ATH South Panola | 2024 State MS . Rivalry week upcoming.

Welcome to the rankings the Wildcats of Louisville after stiffling West Point in week 1. The Wildcat defense is stout.
