When I turned on the tape, each of these young men jumped out to me and displayed viable traits for the next level. Their upside is tremendous, and it’s my belief that they’re only going to get better. Scouts need to get them on their radar before someone else scoops them up and it’s too late. I have a feeling their 2023 highlight films are going to be pretty intriguing.
As always, If you have someone you think I need to see, please DM them to me on Twitter at @hsfbscout!
WR: Alexander Fairbank Alexander Fairbank 5'10" | 175 lbs | ATH Paul Kane | 2024 State CAD 5’10” 170, Paul Kane
Alexander can the take top off a defense, he’s got the body control to adjust & make tough catches on underthrows and has excellent concentration in traffic. He can climb the ladder to high point the football and is a brute runner after the catch.
OL: James Carr James Carr 6'5" | 320 lbs | OL Paul Kane | 2025 State CAD 6’4″ 320, Paul Kane
Carr has the size, bend, anchor, and power to be a successful center prospect. He jolts out of his stance to work back on three techniques replacing pullers, he’s got heavy hands at the point of attack and has some positional versatility under his belt. Carr has some things he needs to work on like his pad level and knee drive once he’s engaged, but I think there’s a ton of upside here and colleges will see that too.
LB: Eric Watson Eric Watson 6'2" | 220 lbs | LB Parkland | 2024 State CAD 6’2″ 220, Parkland
Watson is a playmaker at inside linebacker, equipped with instincts, outstanding initial burst, and the lateral quickness to elude first-level blocks. He’s got adequate size for the position, solid range, and is a core four special teamer. He’s fluid working in space and has a knack for forcing fumbles.
DT: James Murphy, 6’2″ 245, Parkland
Murphy can generate ridiculous force out of his stance and has shown on tape that he can rag-doll offensive linemen in the run game. He plays with an edge on both sides of the football, he’s got mits for hands that are nearly impossible to detach from and has a great first step off the ball.
WR: Ethan Bilo Ethan Bilo 5'9" | 155 lbs | ATH Hunting Hills | 2024 State CAD 5’9″ 155, Hunting Hills
A highly productive wide receiver who projects as a slot at the next level. Ethan is explosive with the ball in his hands and can olé defenders in space. He’s got plenty of build-up speed, potent ball skills and takes pride in blocking on the outside.
