Here is a look at five offensive prospects from the league. Each hoping to improve on their 2022 numbers and each hoping to make headlines as individuals and as a team.
Colton McKanna Colton McKanna 5'8" | 175 lbs | RB Spring Hill | 2024 State KS , RB, 5’9”, 175, Spring Hill, ‘24
The Spring Hill prospect can really shoot his way through a hole in the defense. McKanna ran for 1,362 yards and 24 touchdowns for the Broncos last season. He has breakaway speed, but it also not afraid to run over tacklers. He earned All-Frontier League first-team honors as a returner and second-team honors as a running back last year. He could have an immediate impact on special teams for a college team that signs him.
Colton Brusven Colton Brusven 5'10" | 170 lbs | RB Tonganoxie | 2024 State KS , RB, 5’10”, 175, Tonganoxie ‘24
Brusven is another solid Frontier League running back. He rushed for 600-plus yards as a junior but could see those numbers drastically increase in 2023. He has a chiseled frame and worked hard in the summer to improve his recruiting stock. NAIA and JUCO programs should get out and scout this guy as he might be the number one offensive weapon for the Chieftains in 2023.
Declan Battle Declan Battle 5'11" | 185 lbs | QB Louisburg | 2024 State KS , QB, 6’0”, 175, Louisburg, ‘24
Battle was the All-Frontier League first-team quarterback in 2022. Battle is a dual-threat quarterback as He threw for 1,027 yards and rushed for 709 yards. He accounted for 18 total touchdowns during his junior campaign. Battle has a quick release and can throw the deep ball with accuracy.
Jack Harvey Jack Harvey 6'2" | 210 lbs | ATH Baldwin | 2024 State KS , QB, 6’2”, 210, Baldwin, ‘24
Harvey is an athletic and big quarterback. He was productive in the run and pass games behind center in 2022. He threw for 851 yards and 11 touchdowns. The Baldwin prospect also racked up 800 yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground. He also is an accomplished wrestler, which is probably why his legs are so strong and he looks composed in the pocket. He has an accurate arm and runs the option well.
Adrion Seals Adrion Seals 5'11" | 160 lbs | ATH Eudora | 2024 State KS , WR, 5’11”, 160, Eudora, ’24
Seals is a slick route runner who will look to improve on solid numbers from his junior season. He finished with 21 receptions for 412 yards in 2022. Don’t be shocked if he doubles those numbers in 2023. He has good hands and can fight off man pressure at the line of scrimmage. He finished with seven touchdown catches as a junior and was named to the All-Frontier League first team.
