Jayden Ferrer
As a sophomore in 2022 for Elmwood Park, Jayden Ferrer was able to step up in a big way and help lead his team to a very successful season. Predominately a pocket passer, Jayden is a true gunslinger that doesn’t shy away from making the gutsy throws. He trusts in his arm and his receivers, especially in the deep, downfield routes that have the potential to change the momentum of a game. And with a quick release on the shorter routes, Jayden has the potential to make defenses worry about every aspect of the passing game. Elmwood Park is in good hands with Jayden leading the offense.
Elijah Perez Elijah Perez 6’1″ | 175 lbs | WR Palisades Park | 2024 NJ played multiple roles for Palisades Park in 2022. The 2024 athlete lined up not only on offense as a wide receiver, but also on the defensive side of the ball as a cornerback and safety. To put it simply, Elijah was very efficient on both sides of the ball last season. As a receiver, he was able to find ways to get open and was very comfortable catching the ball in traffic. On defense, Elijah was always in position to make a play on the ball when thrown his direction. Look for Elijah to make some game changing plays in 2023.
Vincen Casas
Vincen Casas
Vincen Casas may be the most college ready player within the division. The Weehawken offensive lineman towered over his opponents last season. Standing at 6’3″ and 285lb, Vincen made a name for himself as a pancake blocker. Vincen consistently drove d linemen to the ground as he kept his feet churning and pushed them into the secondary. He is the type of player you want to run your plays towards because he is sure to open up some huge lanes for his runners. As good as Vincen is on offense, he also made a big impact as an interior defensive lineman as well. He once again used his size to his advantage as he bull rushed offensive linemen and made the QB panic. Look for Vincen to make a lot of noise in 2023.
Eneaz Wells
Eneaz Wells
Eneaz Wells is the kind of player you want to get the ball in his hands as quickly as possible, because you know he has the potential to take it the distance. An athlete coming out of Weehawken, Eneaz played a hybrid role on offense as he lined up as a slot receiver and in the backfield. Accumulating 539 yards and 7 touchdowns in 2022, Eneaz is probably the most explosive offensive weapon that defensive coordinators have to worry about within the division. Eneaz is very quick and nimble, and turns the jets on once the ball is in his hands. He makes the most of his carries, predominately getting to the outside and out running the competition. Eneaz is set up for a big junior season, and I think we will hear more buzz around him over these next few weeks.
