Looking first, at the offensive side of the ball for the Thunderbirds. Several talented prospects are looking to earn some snaps at the quarterback position this season for the Thunderbirds. Jayln Robinson, Kale Searcy, and Knoa Roberts all have the opportunity to see some playing time this season for Cross County. All have the ability to run the offense this season and all are prospects to watch out for this season.
With several talented running backs returning this season, the rushing attack is going to open some eyes for the Thunderbirds this season. Konnor Wilson is a running back that does a great job of allowing rushing lanes to develop and finding the end zone. Wilson punched the ball into the red zone 11 times last season. Devon Pierce is a powerful runner that has no problem breaking a tackle and just running over opposing defenders. Cole Johnson and Gunner Land Gunner Land 5'10" | 170 lbs | LB Cross County | 2025 State AR will also have the opportunity to earn some carries this season.
Cross County has some talented wide receivers that have the potential to slice up and opposing secondary. Canon McGee and Parker Pruitt use crisp routes to create separation from opposing defensive backs. Meanwhile Kel Carter Kel Carter 5'10" | ATH Cross County | 2024 State AR , has good speed and it can be used to stretch the field deep. The Cross County wide receivers have the opportunity to open plenty of eyes this season.
Shifting our focus, to the defensive side of the ball for the Thunderbirds. Kaiser Parker has the speed to give opposing offensive lines problems coming off of the edge. The linebacker spot is in good hands with Konnor Wilson and Devon Pierce. Both Pierce and Wilson each racked up over 90 tackles a season ago. Parker Pruitt does an impressive job of patrolling the secondary for Cross County. The defense has the potential to be a dangerous group for opposing offenses to deal with this season.
