Mckenna is one of the top players returning to the SIC and the state of Idaho this season. His ability to impact the game goes way beyond X’s and O’s as he a true two way player. On offense he is one of the top offensive lineman with his elite ability to move and bend. It allows him to quickly set out to faster defensive ends and eliminate all pass rush opportunities. He has put on about 30lbs of muscle this season so he anchors well against the bull rush and also is a dominant run blocker. On defense he is a devastating defensive end using his 6’6” frame he creates separation from offensive lineman and can shed them with ease. He has a really good speed to power conversion that allows him to man handle lineman at the point of attack especially when he is pass rushing. To top everything off he just committed to Boise State where he will be playing on the defensive side of the football.

Highlights
Callen is a well known name around the state of Idaho as not many player start at Highland as a sophomore but the ones that do go on the have pretty spectacular careers. Callen is on his way as he can do a little bit of everything for the Rams where he plays wide receiver and defensive back. On offense he using his blazing speed to get in and out of routes with great technique. He is lightning in a bottle with his ability to make defenders miss out in space. Along with his natural pass catching ability, he competes for the 50/50 balls even though he isnt the tallest player on the field. Defensively he is a lockdown cornerback that has fluid hips and transitions well out of his back pedal. He plays through the offenders hands well to create PBU opportunities and has no problem making a play on the ball in the air. He a sure tackler but more importantly hes a willing tackler that is not afraid to get into the mix. He just recently received an offer to the University of Idaho.
