Outside of the Kansas City area, Missouri has some talented blockers who can compete with anybody in the state. I believe I have identified five of the best offensive linemen in the state. Below, I explain why these specific prospects are set to be some of the best OL prospects east of Kansas.
Jalen Williams Jalen Williams 6’0″ | 290 lbs | OL Oak Park | 2025 State MO was an all-state blocker for Oak Park in 2022. The talented lineman has been putting the work in this offseason and college coaches are excited to see his progress. Watch for schools scouring the Kansas City area to pick up their recruitment of Jalen this fall.
Jalen displays good football IQ and physicality redirecting and delivering a blow to blitzing defenders as a puller in the run game. Good power, acceleration, and flexibility shows exploding through linebackers with good leverage at the second level. Lateral quickness and a strong anchor suggest Jalen has the tools to handle interior power rushers in college.

Tyler Pate Tyler Pate 6’3″ | 305 lbs | OL Lee’s Summit North | 2025 State MO is a versatile inside offensive line prospect from Lee’s Summit North. Tyler has visited Mizzou, Iowa, Kansas, and Kansas State in the past. He has also competed at multiple offseason camps in Missouri. Look for Tyler to receive his first offer before his junior year has finished.
Tyler shows a strong punch and good awareness picking up stunts in pass protection. Tyler’s athleticism shows breaking down before making contact in the open field, while good effort and strength get displayed finishing second level blocks with an attitude. Tyler shows a good combination of quickness and power knocking defensive linemen off their spot immediately after the snap in the run game.
Saul Spurgeon
Saul Spurgeon
Saul Spurgeon is one of several talented prospects on Glendale’s roster. Saul holds offers from the University of Fort Lauderdale and RCTC Junior College. Expect offers from schools closer to Missouri to start coming Saul’s way before 2024 gets here.
Saul’s next level power shows knocking two defenders out in pass protection by delivering one punch to a blitzing linebacker. Good size, strength, and athleticism in the open field combine with Saul’s tackle & guard experience to give coaches a preview of the run blocking versatility he can provide at the next level. Patience, quick feet, and a strong anchor highlight Saul’s potential to be a solid blocker in pass protection.
Chase Wisecarver Chase Wisecarver 6’5″ | 280 lbs | OL Helias | 2025 State MO is an offensive tackle with ideal size who is set to make an impact in his first season at Helias Catholic. Chase holds one offer from Missouri State. He has also been to camps at Iowa, Iowa State, Tulsa, and Kansas among others. Don’t be surprised when the offers from Midwest schools start overflowing Chase’s Email box this fall.
Chase’s rare combination of size, speed, and power gets displayed exploding through smaller defenders as a puller in the run game. Chase’s next level lateral quickness and lightning-fast punch gets displayed knocking pass rushers out in slide protections. Good football IQ and athleticism gets displayed breaking down to block defenders at the second level in the run game. Coaches like the effort and physicality Chase displays finishing defenders in the dirt when asked to execute a backside cutoff block.

El Motie Williams Motie Williams 6’3″ | 280 lbs | DL Liberty North | 2025 State MO Jr. is one of the best two-way prospects in Missouri. He holds one offer from Kentucky. I am shocked the junior OL prospect does not have more offers from schools in the Midwest. Watch for Elmotie to become a top 2025 OL recruit in the Midwest after a week one matchup with several of the state’s best defensive linemen.
Good athleticism, flexibility, and powerful leg drive get displayed when Elmotie removes defenders as a pulling guard at the point of attack. Coaches like Elmotie’s explosiveness, physicality, and hip flexibility he displays upon contact as a lead blocker in the run game. Elmotie’s quick feet, fast hands, physicality, and strong anchor highlight his potential to be a talented pass blocking guard in college.
