McNair was a playmaker on both sides of the ball as a junior racking up 79 receptions for 1,200 yards and 18 touchdowns and picked off four balls as a DB earning him 1st Team Offense and Defense. At 6’0” 185 lbs. he’s a plus route runner that creates separation by mixing up speeds and being creative at the top of his routes. Really impressed with his ability to track/adjust to the ball in the air, shows excellent body control and coordination. Exceptional ability after the catch, uses his speed to run away from defenders and also flashes good contact balance to break tackles and gain extra yardage. Recently committed to Air Force over an offer from Carroll College and a PWO from Idaho. Expect him to put up big numbers again as a senior.
Highlights
Good combination of size, strength, and technical ability. At 6’1” 200 lbs. he possesses a well-built frame with good game speed. Proved effective attacking all three levels of the field with good burst out of his breaks while also creating positional leverage. A strong/confident hand catcher of the football does a good job extending out and snatching it with his hands rather than allowing it to get into his body. Also shows he can high point the ball and make contest catches in traffic. Well-rounded receiver that can stalk block and pick up blocks on the fly at the second level for his teammates. High effort guy that finishes every play and works to get open when protection breaks down. Currently holds offers from Puget Sound and Lewis and Clark.
Artis is a fluid and explosive athlete with plus speed, change of direction, and acceleration. He shows a great drive phase out of the slot to quickly close space and eat up DB’s cushion. A smooth route runner that does a great job setting up his routes with stems/nods and accelerates out of his cuts to create separation. Love the way he’s able to get in/out of his breaks without slowing down. He’s quick in the short area to be elusive in space but also has the long speed to breakaway for long gains. Good deep threat that can stretch the field vertically or rip off chunk yardage on short passes. Picked up his initial college offer from Western Oregon in June and should see his recruiting stock on the rise with a big 2023 season.
