2022 Record: 5-5 (No Playoffs)
Overview: After a 4-0 start in non-district play last season, Littlefield struggled down the stretch and failed to make the playoffs with a fifth-place finish in its district. But with one of the top 3A players in West Texas, Littlefield hopes to play deep into November or early December.
Most of what the Wildcats do on offense this season promises to revolve around dynamic athlete Samuel Colt Hill Samuel Colt Hill 6'1" | 160 lbs | ATH Littlefield | 2024 TX . He runs the 40 in 4.41 seconds and has been a camp warrior the past few months. Hill has been offered by Eastern New Mexico and Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU).
Dual threat quarterback Chip Green returns after throwing for nearly 2,000 yards and rushing for over 500 yards as a sophomore in 2022. Green has gotten bigger and stronger during the off-season and looks ready to take his game to the next level. Because Green has demonstrated he can pick up valuable yards with his legs, Littlefield will call more QB runs plays this season. He’s an excellent passer, as well.
Somebody must replace the graduated Mason Jones at running back. He rushed for over 800 yards. Hill is the most likely candidate to do that, especially with his blazing speed. Major McNeese and Ian Mendez will also get looks at RB. Senior WR Omar Martinez is back after averaging over 16 yards per reception and catching 6 TD passes in 2022. He’ll be the go-to receiver but Littlefield hopes to spread the wealth with Aaron Chapman and Morris ‘MJ’ Randle.
Senior Brendon Bowman returns to anchor the offensive line. Marcquis Rosemond has made tremendous strides during the spring and summer. The other three OL spots are up for grabs during preseason camp
Defensively, seven starters return from a Littlefield defense that forced 30 turnovers in 2022, an average of three per game. About five players will play both ways. McNeese is one of them. Jeremiah Trevino is set to become the middle linebacker and the undisputed leader of the Wildcats defense.

Coach’s Comments: “We were pretty disappointed how last season ended but the kids have responded well. We had a very good spring. Summer workouts went well. We have a bunch of skill layers coming back from last season. We’re looking for Chip Green to do some big things. We have to fill a spot at running back.”– Littlefield head coach Bo Bryant.
