The Vikings have a great opportunity for a great 2023 campaign and their off-season grind has been nonstop. In order for Woodbridge to take the next step they certainly need to finish their season stronger than last year. With the amount of talent they have returning I think that is a very plausible task.
Denzel Lambert
Denzel Lambert
All state and FBS level talent Denzel Lambert is back for his senior season, he may be the total package at wide receiver. He has game changing speed and hauled in 9 touchdown receptions in 2022, it does not matter who will be throwing him the ball this fall he will make plays. Finally getting the recognition he deserves this off-season, Lambert has been on the radar of several FCS and FBS schools across the DMV. He is a division 1 talent who just needs an opportunity. If a coach pulls the trigger with an offer they certainly wont regret it.

Marquis Gardner
Marquis Gardner
Really like what is coming back for Woodbridge’s secondary and Senior all district corner Marquis Gardner is another reason why. I can see why after watching his film how he was selected first team all district last season and between him and Womack they have a chance to form one of the best secondaries in the state.

Amaree Womack Amaree Womack 5'11" | 170 lbs | DB Woodbridge | 2024 VA
A rising senior who is coming off a all district campaign his Junior season at corner for the Vikings. Watching his tape the young man is very instinctive and will never miss a tackle. I could easily see him at the division 2 level next fall, but his recruiting is just starting to pick up perhaps even FCS bound?

Junior to be Neyo Williams Neyo Williams 5’10” | 155 lbs | DB Woodbridge | 2025 State VA is a defensive back that will make receivers grimace in pain each time he hits them. Playing more safety in this talented Vikings defense, Williams packs the punch and is joy to watch come up and tackle his opponents. He plays the game with no fear and has good footwork to track down some of the fastest receiver in the district. A good junior season will lead him to college interest from Division 2 schools and above.
Dominic Williams
Dominic Williams
A big target at tight end for the Vikings is rising senior Dominic Williams. With his ability to create separation and get yards after the catch, this should provide a nice secondary option with many defense focused on Lambert. Do not be mistaken Williams is no slouch himself and proceed with caution in tackling him as he is a force in the open field. At 6’3 and a 3.9 GPA no reason not to believe this kid could be FCS bound next fall.

A versatile offensive linemen who can play guard, center or tackle for Woodbridge is junior Jaden Hines Jaden Hines 6’0″ | 255 lbs | OL Woodbridge | 2025 State VA . Starting as a sophomore this 6’0 240 lb. bull was rock solid up front for the Vikings in 2022. You can see his excellent footwork and hand placement on his tape, he should be in for a big season.
Bryce Kham
Bryce Kham
Replacing all league quarterback Amaan Lewis will be up to rising junior Bryce Kham. Kham played a lot as a sophomore under center for the Vikings so he has the experience to step up and lead them to the playoffs. At 5’7 he similar to Lewis is a dual threat quarterback who can sling it and take off on a moment’s notice.

Final Thoughts:
I think the Woodbridge Vikings are playoff bound in 2023, losing star quarterback Amaan Lewis to transfer will hurt, but they’re is plenty of talent coming back. It will depend on how well Kham transitions at quarterback, having division 1 talents like Lambert and Williams will certainly help.
