Recently they have changed divisions and are now in division C-1. Last season was their first season in Class C-1 and like other schools that dropped down, they had a lot of success ending the season with a 10-1 record. They really dominated last season winning most of their games by a significant amount. The Bison outscored their opponents 414-154 in the 2022 season. The Bison have some newcomers coming up who will have to step up if they want another season like last year. McCook is one of many small-town teams that people need to look out for. Like many other small town schools they can get looked over compared to the media attention that the bigger schools and cities get. The Bison have a chance to take on the rest of their division and take it all the way to Lincoln in 2023.
