Alto Moore Alto Moore 6'2" | 215 lbs | LB Rome | 2024 State GA – Calhoun
A former Rome linebacker who now plays at Calhoun, Moore is a tough, physical linebacker who holds a few smaller offers, but showed D1 potential all throughout his junior season last fall. He reads the plays well and takes great angles to the ball-carrier towards the sideline. A sure tackler, Moore owns the middle of the field and does a good job of playing in space. He’s smart, doesn’t mind contact, and wraps up well around the feet. He gives it everything he has each play and was a standout defender for a big-time Rome program. Now that he’s at Calhoun, he’ll give the Yellow Jackets a sure-tackling defender who can make tackle after tackle. He can get down-hill in a hurry and blow up any particular run in the backfield. He has good size and plenty of muscle in a 6-foot-2 215-pound frame. Look for him to have a very productive senior season for another outstanding North Georgia program in Calhoun this fall.
One of the top under the radar linebackers across Middle Georgia, Harris is a do-it-all player who will do anything he can to help his Jones County team win a ballgame. He may not open a lot of eyes from a physical standpoint, but he’s tough, a great competitor, and is coming off another productive season in 2023, making 87 total tackles, 5 TFLs, one sack, one blocked field goal, and two fumble recoveries. He’s a hard hitter, can rush the passer, and one of the toughest defenders on a very talented Jones County roster. One of the top overall linebackers in 5A last year, Harris showed good instincts against the run and knows how to deliver a punishing blow to the ball carrier. He makes a lot of plays and helps the team in a number of different ways. He deserves more recognition and should have a giant senior season in 2023.
A big, physical defender who lived in the backfield last year, Ethan Maddox Ethan Maddox 6'4" | 240 lbs | LB North Paulding | 2024 State GA is coming off an incredibly impressive and productive junior season for North Paulding. Whether he’s standing up at outside linebacker or with his hand in the dirt on the line, Maddox always found a way to make a big play. He has easy D1 size at 6-foot-4 230-pounds and his film should’ve led to a lot more offers by now. He’s quick off the snap, shed blocks, and has plenty of raw strength that allows him to beat opposing offensive lineman. He can get after the quarterback, but he showed last year that he’s one of the top run defenders in the region. He’s versatile, he’s disruptive, and he’s a guy who can absolutely play at the D1 level. He’s still flying under the radar somehow, but if you go watch him play this fall, he’s stand out early often.
