At this point, none of these players will be ranked during the next update, though with good varsity playing time; they could surely climb their way up as soon as late Fall!
DE | Austin Ackerman Austin Ackerman 6'1" | 220 lbs | DL Paw Paw | 2026 MI | Paw Paw | Hudl
Austin was a productive JV player last season who has been very active this off-season. His film showcases a great foundation to build off of to hopefully one day become a dominant Varsity starter. Luckily, many of his flaws on tape I see improved on during the offseason. His camp highlights show better explosiveness on his getoff and a few pass-rush moves. I hope to see these skills showcased this season with even more strength and speed to his game. He’ll remain a Watch List guy, though it may not be long until he’s ranked.
RB | David Williams III David Williams III 6'2" | 230 lbs | DL Kalamazoo Central | 2026 State MI | KZoo Central | Hudl
David has some fun film to watch and has a bunch of tools that can be built off to become a great varsity player. First off, he’s 6’2″ 230lb running back. His film shows that he’s a hard runner that can bowl through people. He also seems to have pretty impressive lifting numbers and even seems pretty fast. If his 305 Squat and 12.33 100M dash are correct, then David has some serious potential.
OLB | Will Peterson Will Peterson 6'1" | 200 lbs | LB Mattawan | 2026 MI | Mattawan | Hudl
Mattawan seems to have a real good pipeline of prospects going for them, and I expect Will to develop into a great varsity player. As an EDGE rusher, Will is consistently able to rush the passer and stop the run with vicious intensity. I love his explosiveness off the line of scrimmage and his physicality on his way to the ball carrier. He’s also got some highlights at TE, though I view Will as a linebacker / pass rusher at the moment. He’ll be on the watch list!
QB | Brayden Daniels Brayden Daniels 5'11" | 195 lbs | QB Rockford | 2026 State MI | Rockford | Hudl
Whenever I see “QB” and “Rockford,” I know it’s going to be some fun film to watch. Although I know that Brayden won’t be the varsity starter for The Rams this season, he could very well be the future Varsity QB. His freshman tape shows that he’s a raw QB prospect with very obvious talent. First off, I love the arm talent. Brayden is able to sling it down the field with generally good accuracy, and his short-intermediate throws come with some zip. He’s also able to throw on the run and near the sidelines quite well. It’s difficult to evaluate QBs with just their highlights, though his film makes me incredibly optimistic for his future.
