Xavier Cunningham – Brookstone
One of the top overall athletes in the Columbus area, Cunningham is a two-sport star who can really run and make plays with the ball in his hands. On offense, he’s a real weapon who can make plays out of the backfield at running back or as a pass-catcher on the outside. He’s a versatile player who can stretch the field vertically, make plays on an end-around, or in the screen and short passing game. He does a lot well due to his speed, burst, natural athleticism and size at 5-foot-11 180-pounds. He’s also a tough defender with natural cover skills who knows how to make a tackle. Offensively, Cunningham rushed for 304 yards and two touchdowns as a sophomore. He also caught 24 passes for 585 yards and three more scores. Defensively, Cunningham made 39 tackles, three TFLs and one INT. He may not play in a big region, but he’s an athlete to know about in West Georgia for the 2023 season.
