Long Beach Poly defensive back Michael Beresford picked up three offers this week.
Eastern Washington, Northern Arizona and UNLV all offered the cornerback. He visited NAU over the July 7 weekend.
Beresford transferred to Long Beach Poly from Palos Verdes. He had a team-high six interceptions last season and also had a pair of receiving touchdowns.
Mira Mesa (San Diego) receiver Chris Brown Chris Brown 5’11” | 160 lbs | WR Mira Mesa | 2024 State CA announced his commitment to Southern Utah last Thursday.
Brown caught 54 passes for 802 yards with seven touchdowns for Mira Mesa last season.
He is a Team Makasi athlete and won the fastest man and other awards at the Makasi Camp earlier this spring.

Orange Vista two-way star Sire Gaines Sire Gaines 6’0″ | 190 lbs | ATH Orange Vista | 2024 State CA announced his commitment to Arizona State on Saturday.
Gaines ran for 855 yards on 89 carries with 16 touchdowns for Orange Vista last season. He also had 820 yards receiving with 9 touchdowns.
His top six was Washington State, Arizona State, Washington, Arizona, Boise State and San Diego State.
Gaines is the third player from California in Arizona State’s 2024 recruiting class.
Rio Mesa (Oxnard) athlete Chance Harrison Chance Harrison 6’1″ | 175 lbs | ATH Rio Mesa | 2024 State CA announced his top six schools last Wednesday.
Arizona, Boston College, Colorado State, San Diego State, San Jose State and Washington State were the schools that made the cut.
Harrison caught 43 passes for 568 yards with six touchdowns last season. Defensively, he had 56 tackles with an interception.
Orange Vista two-way athlete Anthony Hymes Anthony Hymes 5’11” | 170 lbs | ATH Orange Vista | 2024 State CA announced his commitment to San Jose State on Monday.
Hymes ran for 761 yards on 80 carries with eight touchdowns. He likely projects to be a running back at the next level.
He is the second player from Southern California in San Jose State’s 2024 recruiting class joining Alonzo Contreras Alonzo Contreras 6’1″ | 190 lbs | QB Calabasas | 2024 State CA of Calabasas.
