Jonathon Class
Jonathon Class
Class picked up his first set of offers this offseason from USD and Benedictine in June. He’s a disruptive defender off the edge for Mission Hills with a quick first step and twitchy get-off. He can get skinny in traffic and takes on pulling guards to contain the edge. He’s highly reactive to the football and can change direction to keep ball-carriers in front. Class will likely be one of the best and most productive DEs in San Diego this season.
Jordan Gash
Jordan Gash
Gash and fellow 2024 DE Travis Ford Travis Ford 6'2" | 235 lbs | LB Granite Hills | 2024 State CA provide an athletic edge for Helix’s defensive front-seven. He has natural explosiveness and quick short-range burst. He uses his hands and reach to set the edge and is a scrappy block-shedder on the outside. He’s a sure tackler in the run game that smothers ball-carriers and is physical at the POA. Gash should attract some interest with continued improvement and production as a senior.
EJ Brandreth
EJ Brandreth
Brandreth’s a leaner DE at 6’3”/215 with a strong frame and good mobility. He’s a developing pass rusher that’s shown growth at offseason camps. He has quick change-of-direction and possesses the speed to work back and track down ball-carriers towards the sideline. Brandreth picked up his first offer from Adams St. in May.
Ryan Stonebreaker
Ryan Stonebreaker
Stonebreaker’s a high-motor defender around the edge that can stunt inside and take on matchups over OTs or OGs. He’s an active tackler in the run game that utilizes a strong punch to keep OL hands away and is quick to locate ball-carriers. He’s a lumbering mover at times and could work on being more quick and light on his feet. Stonebreaker also plays OT and could be a fit on offense at the next level.
