Kearns Cougars
The Cougar’s roster is littered with some of the state’s most underrated players. Quarterback Teki Finau Teki Finau 6'0" | 200 lbs | QB Kearns | 2026 State UT should be in for a breakout season. Offensive linemen Raymond Tongolei Raymond Tongolei 6'0" | 230 lbs | OL Kearns | 2024 State UT and the rest of the Cougars offensive line will provide Finau with a clean pocket. On the outside, look for wide receiver Lamoni Matua Lamoni Matua 5'9" | 140 lbs | WR Kearns | 2025 State UT to make a few big plays for Kearns offensively. The defensive line combination of Kymani Falepapalangi Kymani Falepapalangi 6'1" | 320 lbs | DL Kearns | 2024 State UT and Alijah Levao Alijah Levao 6'1" | 250 lbs | DL Kearns | 2025 State UT is one of the regions best. They will each stand out by putting pressure on the quarterback and making plays against the run. Linebacker Zeryan Talo Zeryan Talo 5'11" | 195 lbs | LB Kearns | 2024 State UT should lead the teams in tackles and live behind the line of scrimmage. Kearns Head Coach Matt Rickards and his squad will shock teams this fall.
Cyprus Pirates
Cyprus will be one of the most physical teams in the state. The Pirates are built to run the ball effectively and inversely stop the run. They will be doing both at a high level this fall. Quarterback Skyler Armenta Skyler Armenta 6'3" | 215 lbs | RB Cyprus | 2024 State UT is one of the state’s top rushing quarterbacks and has exceptional vision. He’s tough to bring down and possesses good speed. Defensively the trio of Benson Kofe Benson Kofe 6'1" | 290 lbs | OL Grnager | 2024 State UT , Linebacker Uha Malekamu, and defensive back Manasa Pela will provide problems for offenses all across the state. Head coach Tyler Garcia and the Pirates will be a tough out each and every Fall Friday night.
Taylorsville Warriors
The Warriors are looking to get off to a hot start in their new region. Last year’s starting quarterback Cole Kramer Cole Kramer 6'0" | 170 lbs | QB Taylorsville | 2025 State UT returns after flashing moments of brilliance last fall. If Kramer can turn these moments into consistent plays, then Taylorsville could be a thorn in several teams’ sides this season. Wide receiver Karsan Kirkman should give Kramer a reliable target on the outside who can consistently create separation at all three levels. Defensively watch for linebacker Brandon Gutsman to make plays all over the field. Warriors Head Coach Chris Rosales and his squad will be much improved in 2023.
