Continue ReadingCANADA-– Today, we released our 2024 rankings for the top prospects in Canada. We found who we feel are the top 150+ prospects that Canada has to offer. With this 2024 preview, we uncover how we built our 2024 rankings, some superlatives to our 2024 rankings, who we feel might be early stockrisers for our next update, and much more!
The PRZ Prospect Evaluation Process
Our #1 priority and goal with Prep Redzone is to put prospects on the map for college coaches and programs at all levels to advance their exposure. We rate prospects on next-level potential not stats, not on the team’s rankings in the state, it’s all about the prospects potential and how his skillsets fit at the next level. Some prospects will peak early in their high school career might be ranked higher than where they end up in the end, and that’s why our rankings will change 3-4 times per year at Prep Redzone Canada, because we also love to factor in live evaluations year-around and we have seen prospects within a 3 month span add 30 pounds of muscle and more height, while others stay the same. That is our process with every rankings update, as we have no bias towards any one school, prospect, it’s all what we see on tape and in live evaluations only.
We also will rank prospects currently that are playing high school football in Canada only for the time being. Although we know there are several significant high school prospects playing prep school football in the United States we will cover those Canadian prospects on the site thru content, while our state sites will cover those prospects from a rankings perspective in Florida, the Northeast, or wherever they are.

Why So Heavy on OL/DL within our Top Five?
I once was told by a premium pro scout as just a young scout back in my early days scouting the AAF (American Alliance of Football), that the “big guys get all the love” which is something I have always taken to heart in my evaluation process since I started with Prep Redzone five years ago. Although the average football fan doesn’t care what kind of technique or moves offensive and defensive linemen have, I certainly weight it heavily in my evaluations which is why offensive and defensive linemen are at the top of our list of Canada’s top 2024 prospects.
Which Canadian School Dominates the List?
When I look at our 2024 rankings the first school that comes to mind is Clarkson Football North. They have three prospects inside my top 15 overall prospects and are certainly one of the most dominant units in Canadian on the offensive and defensive line starting with Eastern Michigan commit Everett Small Everett Small 6'4" | 295 lbs | OL Clarkson Football North | 2024 State CAD inside the top 2. After Everett, defensive linemen Liam St. Jacques Liam St. Jacques 6'3" | 260 lbs | DL Clarkson Football North | 2024 State CAD (#10), 6’8 offensive linemen James Donald James Donald 6'8" | 310 lbs | OL Clarkson Football North | 2024 State CAD (#12) and Brayden Skaarup Brayden Skaarup 6'1" | 250 lbs | DL Clarkson Football North | 2024 State CAD (#14) rounding out the top 15. The last three are uncommitted, but you can be sure that they will be hot commodities this summer getting recruited via U Sports and NCAA schools.
