McGinnis is one of the top returning offensive lineman in the state as a returner for Mountain View. One of the toughest lineman in the class, McGinnis is an absolute road grater in the trenches. Playing mostly center last season McGinnis uses his heavy hands in order to lock on to defenders and drive them off the football. A quick first step allow McGinnis to get good angles on second level blocks and he does an excellent job of running his feet on contact. Shows good hip and knee bend that allows him to stick with players who may be smaller and faster but keep his base against bigger and strong players. He is improving in his pass pro ability and has shown during the camp season to have made major strides in that area. He is going to be an anchor for Mountain View this season and it would be no surprise to see him on the all conference and all state list this season.
Miller has a really solid base when it comes to blocking in the trenches. He uses that base in order to get underneath defenders and move them off the football. He is able to get good angles when blocking at the second level and shows that he understands how to cut off a backside linebacker. He is able to really anchor against bull rushes and has the ability to kick set with quickness. He is really going to have a solid senior season and is going to be one of the top offensive lineman in the SIC and will be also be one of the top in the state.
Schumacher is one of the top returning piece to the Owyhee offensive front. Big, strong, and with good lateral quickness Schumacher is able to make an impact at every level of the defense. He is able to really create power through his first step and uses great angles to make impact blocks. He is devastating in his ability to pull and really destroy defensive players. He is able to get to the second level with ease and shows the ability to really help on the edge with outside zone seal blocks. He has a solid base and understands counter moves from defensive lineman in pass protection. He is able to anchor against the bull rush and uses his quickness to get out to faster speed rushers. His senior season will be filled with devastating blocks and solid pass protection on his way to post season awards.
