Catching up on some camp write-ups from the past couple of weeks. Here are my standout players from the NELITE Wideouts Camp featuring Coach Williams. It was a deep group with some of the best receivers in the area.
Chase Cunningham Chase Cunningham QB Papillion-La Vista South | 2025 State NE | 2025 | QB | Papillion La Vista | 5’10” 145 lbs
– Chase is a player that I think has really stepped up this offseason and taken the steps to continue his development.
– Overall, Chase looks more confident when throwing the ball. He’s trusting his arm and mechanics more, allowing him to deliver the ball with more accuracy and great timing.
– Chase did a great job throwing to all levels of the field. Delivering quick darts to receivers on short and intermediate routes and is able to put touch and distance on his deep balls.
– Looking forward to seeing what he does at Papio South!
Eli Johnson Eli Johnson 6'3" | 210 lbs | TE Omaha Westside | 2026 State NE | 2026 | WR/TE | Omaha Westside | 6’3″ 200 lbs
– Massive upside prospect!
– Eli is one of the top pass-catchers in his class, already outplaying his age, and only starting to scratch the surface.
– His taller frame and long arms give his QBs a big target with a nice, wide catch radius.
– Eli has some strong mitts that he uses very well to make “hands” catches. They didn’t do a ton of contact drills (at least not on Day 2), but when you watch Johnson’s tape, you can see his strength to hold on to the ball through contact.
– Run routes like a receiver with the size of a tight end. Going to be really interesting to watch Eli continue to grow and develop.
Kamden Krieser Kamden Krieser 6'0" | 165 lbs | WR Lincoln North Star | 2025 State NE | 2025 | WR | Lincoln North Star | 6’0″ 160 lbs
– North Star is going to have a solid wide receiver group this season. One player that could step up big-time is junior Kamden Krieser Kamden Krieser 6'0" | 165 lbs | WR Lincoln North Star | 2025 State NE , who I’ve seen at a few Red Wolves tournaments this season.
– Kamden has great hands and did a great job catching nearly everything coming his way.
– He can sell routes vertically before making sudden changes in direction and leaving defenders stunned in place.
– Krieser does a great job with his release and gets a nice burst off the line. An explosive player that can work all levels of the field.
Owen Bogacz Owen Bogacz 5'8" | 155 lbs | WR Papillion-La Vista | 2025 State NE | 2025 | WR | Papillion-La Vista | 5’7″ 150 lbs
– Great slot receiver option that can also float to the outside.
– Very sharp routes. Owen does a great job sinking his hips when changing direction and exploding out of his cuts.
– Owen is extremely shifty and agile with great footwork, which helps him make defenders miss in the open field.
– Does a great job following through with the catch process. Especially the little things like “taking a picture” with the ball and attacking the ball when he has to come back to it.
Charlie Lamski Charlie Lamski 6'3" | 200 lbs | TE Elkhorn | 2025 State NE | 2025 | TE | Elkhorn | 6’3″ 195 lbs
– Tall, big-bodied receiver that can match any defender’s physicality and has the hops to high-point the ball.
– Charlie does well with release at the line and exploding out of his stance. They didn’t have them run 1v1s, but he has shown the strength to beat press of the line.
– He can build up speed quickly with his long strides and does very well at tracking down deep balls.
– Soft hands at the point of the catch make him a very reliable target to throw to. As a matter of fact, I’m not sure if I saw Charlie drop a pass.
