This week’s edition does differ a bit from last week’s, as every prospect featured today is currently playing ball in The Great White North.
These guys have their best days on the field ahead of them, so make sure you keep an eye on them. As always, If you have someone you think I need to see, please DM them to me on Twitter at @hsfbscout!
LB: Mehrum Ghuman, 6′ 195, Dakota Collegiate
On film, he shows good lateral movement skills and takes strategic angles to the tackle. He can finish tackles out of awkward body positions and has a ruthless motor once he gets a ball carrier in his sights. This young man loves contact and knows how to use the sideline to his advantage when forced to tackle out on the perimeter.
DE: Carter McLean, 6’5″ 220, Crescent Heights
McLean has the frame, nastiness, get-off, bend, and strength you want in a five-technique. He shows violent hands at the point of attack and can collapse a pocket with knockback off the ball. If he continues to add weight, his upside is going to be through the roof.
DB: Maxwell Grieman Maxwell Grieman 5'11" | 160 lbs | DB Dakota Collegiate | 2024 State CAD , 5’11” 160, Dakota Collegiate
Grieman has great range for a safety and can cover a ton of ground while the ball is in the air. He’s got above-average ball skills, compact footwork, and hits like a ton of bricks. He shows terrific closing speed and has the body control to come to balance & tackle space.
DE/OLB: Maclan Brown Maclan Brown 6'4" | 215 lbs | DL George McDougall | 2025 CAD 6’4″ 215, N/A
Has a long athletic frame he can grow into, he plays with precise hands swiping away a tackles punch, and has a powerful lower half. Brown keeps his pads low, rolls his hips, and strikes on a rise. His reach allows for him to mix in a highly effective long-arm technique against opposing offensive linemen.
DB: David Sindikubwabo David Sindikubwabo 5'11" | 180 lbs | DB Dakota Collegiate | 2025 State CAD 5’10” 175, Dakota Collegiate
David put up a whopping seven interceptions in 2022, to go along with twelve PBUs. On film, he shows exceptional leaping ability, easily climbing the ladder to go pluck the football out of the air. He’s got great anticipation and plays with supreme confidence in every facet of the game.
