We got plenty of film submissions via Twitter and these were a few of the best ones. Some of these prospects are playing their high school ball north of the border, while others chose to play in the United States. One prospect has even finished out his high school eligibility and is now looking for a home.
These guys have their best days on the field ahead of them, so make sure you keep an eye on them. As always, If you have someone you think I need to see, please DM them to me on Twitter at @hsfbscout!
DL: Dawson Hendriks Dawson Hendriks 6'3" | 240 lbs | DL Bateman | 2024 State CAD 6’3″ 240, Abbotsford
Dawson has a quick first step off the ball, can collapse the pocket by his own accord, and is a menacing tackler. His bull rush seems to be almost effortless, yet it drives pass protectors back into the pocket. He’s got good size, he’ll get his hands up if he can’t get to the quarterback and he bullies opposing pullers at the point of attack.
QB: Arnaud Dugas, 6’3″ 175, Laval
Dugas will be playing his high school ball in the U.S. at Thayer Academy this fall and is bringing a wealth of production with him (2,482 yards & 27 TDs). On tape, he’s got calm feet, a high football IQ and natural anticipation. He throws well off-platform and can adlib on his own when the pocket breaks down.
DT: Sammy-Joe Sudah, 6’4″ 280, Montreal
A sudden three technique that can get skinny through a slide and plays with refined hands at the point of attack. He’s got an uncharacteristically high motor for an interior defensive lineman and quickly disengages off run blocks to make a tackle.
EDGE: Eda Otoro Eda Otoro 6'3" | 210 lbs | DL Harry Ainlay | 2025 State CAD 6’3″ 205, Edmonton
Otoro has a knack for finding his way to the quarterback as a pass rusher. He’s slippery at the point of attack, he mixes up rush tempos, and is quite flexible. He can beat you with speed or strength and is a violent tackler once he gets his hands on a ball carrier.
OL: Robert Overton, 6’4″ 280, Edmonton
Robert has good size, works hand in hand with his double-team partner, and can vertically displace defenders on inside zone schemes. He’s a consistent pass protector, with steady footwork, and is an extremely effective blocker out in space on called screens.
QB: Xavier Tremblay, 6′ 200, Montreal (2022)
Tremblay is from Canada but played his prep school ball at Jireh Prep and is now looking for a home. He’s got a cannon of an arm and will challenge deep half-safeties any time. He shows solid touch on throws of twenty yards plus and can work through a full-field progression.
