Kameryn Fountain Kameryn Fountain 6'5" | 240 lbs | DL Washington | 2024 State GA – Washington
A quick, instinctive EDGE defender who is flying up the Prep Redzone rankings, the Atlanta native out of Booker T Washington stands at almost 6-foot-6 and around 240-pounds. A current Southern Cal commitment, the four-star defensive lineman is now ranked as the No. 37 overall prospect in Georgia after being added in the latest update. As a junior last season, Fountain, a two-sport star who also shines on the basketball court, made 56 tackles on the season along with seven sacks and eight quarterback hurries. He’s one of the top overall defenders in the state and committed to USC on June 5th over programs like Arkansas, Auburn, among others. He’s a natural pass rusher who is strong enough to hold the edge and stop the run. He still has plenty of room to get better and could see his ranking continue to rise in the next update down the road.
Quintavius Johnson Quintavius Johnson 6'4" | 245 lbs | DL Mays | 2024 State GA – Mays
A long, athletic defensive lineman who can be used in a number of different ways, Johnson is a 6-foot-4 240-pounder who can play both standing up or with his hand in the ground. He can play as a big outside linebacker, or can play in the dirt on EDGE. His lean frame will allow him to continue adding more weight and muscle, allowing him to possibly move inside down the road. A current Georgia Bulldog commitment, Johnson was added to the newest Prep Redzone Rankings and is now ranked as the No. 75 overall prospect in the state. He’s still raw, but he’s an outstanding athlete who runs really well for his size. He’s all promise and potential right now, but he’s shown to be tough to block on the edge with the ability to blow up any particular play before it gets started. His frame, burst off the snap, and ability to create havoc in the backfield are just a few reasons why he was added to the latest update.
Antwan Smith Antwan Smith 6'3" | 195 lbs | DL Westlake | 2024 State GA – Westlake
Another versatile lineman who can make plays off the edge, Smith is a hybrid defender who can really get after it. At 6-foot-4 195-pounder, Smith is currently committed to Kentucky and debuts at No. 134 in the state in his first ranking. He’s long, athletic, versatile, and will only see that ranking improve in the next update. If he has a big senior season, don’t be surprised if he moves well into the top 100 by the end of the year. Playing an an extremely talented Westlake defense, Smith held his won week after week and showed that he’s a sound tackler who knows how to make a play in the backfield. He’s strong, moves well, and knows how to attack the ball-carrier. His best football is still ahead of him, and he’d bound for a gigantic senior season for the Lions in 2023.
