AJ Martel AJ Martel 5'9" | 180 lbs | RB Mason | 2024 State MI | Mason | Hudl
How AJ hasn’t gotten an offer yet is beyond me. I’ve talked up AJ quite a bit- he’s going to be a 4-year Varsity Starter already with over 3,000 career yards and 7YPC. I truly think AJ could be a Division 2 back. He’s a patient runner who follows his blocks, and turns it on one he hits the open field. He has good athleticism that allows him to make subtle open-field cuts and has the speed to hit the home run.
In addition, AJ has phenomenal grades, is a 4-sport athlete, and just won the 300M hurdes at the D2 T&F State Championship. AJ has the conditioning, speed, power, and grades to earn a college scholarship and do great things once he’s at the next level.
Amarion Jenkins Amarion Jenkins 5'10" | 190 lbs | RB Flushing | 2024 MI | Flushing | Hudl
Amarion has some very entertaining film. Rushing for 1085yds and 16TDs last season, Amarion is a talented elusive back that I have a D3 grade on. There are great flashes of athleticism and vision. There are quite a few highlights where Jenkins combines great vision, patience, and open-field athleticism, allowing him to hit the home run. Now, I haven’t seen him advertise any offseason camps, so I have not heard much from Amarion since last Fall. Hope to see him have a great senior season!
Eli DeYoung Eli DeYoung 6'0" | 200 lbs | RB Gobles | 2024 State MI | Gobles | Hudl
Eli has been a good back on my radar for some time. There are many people who have raved about his work ethic and passion for the game! In terms of his film, he’s a good running back with a lot of great athletic foundation. He’s a high-volume ballcarrier who keeps his feet moving through contact. His a fine athlete with some ability to evade defenders in the open field. This coming season, I’d love to see better explosiveness and top-end speed from Eli. He’s a D3 ceiling for me, though I see a lot of skills that could translate wonderfully to Rugby, and there may be an opportunity for a Rugby scholarship or to start immediately on a DII club team like GV, Ferris, or Central Michigan.
Parker Holman Parker Holman 5'8" | 160 lbs | RB Zeeland West | 2024 State MI | Zeeland West | Hudl
Parker has had a few extremely bright moments this summer. At the Sporthouse Showcase in Muskegon, he was far and wide the camp MVP as he showcased great route-running, athleticism, and he exuded confidence. I left that camp extremely impressed with his performance and thought he showcased a ton of skills not present on his film. At other camps, Parker has been more of a mixed bag, though I know that the Sporthouse performance is in him. Regardless, Parker is an offensive weapon that can make things happen in the open field, run great routes, in addition to being very fast.
Dharius Walker Dharius Walker 5'8" | 175 lbs | RB Caledonia | 2024 State MI | Caledonia | Hudl
Dharius may be the best hidden talent in all of Michigan. Backing up an RB with multiple D1 offers, Dharius isn’t far behind him. I see a lot of the same running style, athleticism, speed, and instincts as I do with Brock. Dharius’s film shows hard running with great extra yards through contact. His hudl “about” page also shows great lifting numbers and drill results if true. Just watch his film- Dharius could be a true hidden gem!
