At 6’3” 180 lbs. Ross is long and athletic CB whose recruiting stock is on the rise with recent offers from Nevada and UNLV. Possesses a well-round skillset with a strong combination of coverage instincts, speed, and ball skills. Has a great ability to stay in-phase at all three levels of the field and even when he’s beat his recovery speed allows him to close space and play the ball in the air. In addition to his natural ability in coverage, he’s smart/efficient with his footwork and technique. He limits wasted movement and uses his feet and hands well to gain positional leverage between his man and the ball. Great ability to lockdown opposing teams top WR in press man. He checks a lot of boxes as a D1 cover corner that should see more offers roll in as he is able to showcase his skillset and length.
Jennings was a First Team All-District CB at Rowlett HS in Texas before transferring to Emerald Ridge for his senior year. He’s 6’1” 175 lbs. with rare length for his size, 77 inch wingspan. Great positional versatility to be effective from any spot in the secondary with his impressive ability both in coverage and in run support. He’s an active defender that plays fast and physical while flying around making plays all over the field. A dynamic athlete that is smooth in his transition and fluid in the hips to match movement and use his change of direction to break on the ball. Plays with active hands and great reactionary quickness to diagnose plays as they are developing and trigger. Good open field tackler that is strong at the POA and plays with leverage to bring hard contact on every play. Holds an offer from Idaho that he picked up in the spring but will be a big time playmaker in the Emerald Ridge secondary. Expect his recruiting to pick up and more D1 programs to offer.
Highlights
Prinz is a strong cover corner with excellent instincts and anticipation. He’s savvy and possesses advanced route recognition to quickly break downhill and put himself in position to make a play at the catch point. Flashes good fluidity in the hips to change directions and match movement in coverage. Strong ball skills with good hand-eye coordination and timing to effectively play the ball in the air. Can use his long speed to cover vertically or his short area burst to recover and close space at the short/intermediate level. Not afraid of contact, he brings good thump at the POA and finishes the ball carrier to the ground. Pacific and Valparaiso have offer thus far but shows good potential and upside to add more.
Highlights
Thomas is a gifted dual sport (football/basketball) natural athlete that is a difference maker in all three phases at Moses Lake. An explosive playmaker that flashes athleticism, speed, and lateral quickness. Good twitch and acceleration out of his breaks in the short area and has the top end speed to cover vertically on defense or break away for big gains with the ball in his hands. Anticipates well and triggers extremely quickly to transition and break on the ball both in coverage and in run support. He’s a competitor that plays fast and finishes every snap. Speed and versatility could land him on either side of the ball at the college level. Voted All-State as a junior and deserves more recruiting attention. Finished 2022 with 51 tackles, 9 PBU’s, 2 INT’s and 720 yards on 54 receptions, and 6 touchdowns.
