Continue ReadingChambersburg finished 3-7 last year, but several players got plenty of playing time that will help them have a bigger year this year. I noticed last year when I was looking up prospects to write about and I found a ton of talented Chambersburg Football players. The next question is can these talented players make Chambersburg a good team, in the highly competitive Mid-Penn Conference? We will find out, but Head Coach Mark Luther has a group of talented players that should be competitive in all their games and have a chance at winning more than 3 games than they did last year.
Top returning players:
Antonio Harrison Antonio Harrison 5'9" | 170 lbs | RB Chambersburg | 2025 State PA . Harrison is one of the most underrated running backs in District 3. When I turned on his film I was blown away by how good of a player he was. Below is what I wrote about Harrison earlier this year:
Harrison played running back for Chambersburg last year. Harrison is a very good athlete that runs with authority as a running back. He has elite speed. When he gets into the open field he just runs by defenders. He is really good at outside zone plays. He is patient and then hits the hole well on the edge. Several times he rushed for long gains or touchdowns out of this play. He is also very good at running through defenders. He has a physical style in the way he runs through defenders. Harrison has elite running skills and should only improve.
Jermere Jones Jermere Jones 6'3" | 195 lbs | QB Chambersburg Area | 2024 State PA . Jones is a talented quarterback who flashed some legit skills for Chambersburg last year. He has good size and plays the position very well. Jones should get some serious College Football looks after the season. Below is what my colleague Vic Castillo Vic Castillo RB PA wrote about Jones earlier this year:
Been a while since I last checked in on former PRZ PA Camp standout and T&F prospect Jermere Jones Jermere Jones 6'3" | 195 lbs | QB Chambersburg Area | 2024 State PA . A lot to like, both in terms of tape and measurables. 6’4, 195, a big body that can absorb hits in the pocket. His prowess on the track shows up on tape, as the big-bodied QB can be deemed a dual-threat when he wants to scramble. 3.5 GPA, Jermere Jones Jermere Jones 6'3" | 195 lbs | QB Chambersburg Area | 2024 State PA ‘ Twitter gives you a glimpse of how special a hurdler he is. May saw Jones break his school’s 110M record. Check out his work on the basketball court too, there’s a lot to unpack with this kid.
Remyson Feneliace Remyson Feneliace 6'2" | 200 lbs | LB Chambersberg | 2025 PA . Feneliace is a talented linebacker who should get more playing time this year and have a much bigger impact going into his Junior Year. Below is what I wrote about Feneliace earlier this year:
Feneliace played linebacker for Chambersburg last year. Feneliace has limited film but showed plenty of talent on film. He is a good athlete that does a nice job attacking downhill and making plays. He is good at creating turnovers and attacking ball carriers with the ball in their hands. He is also a sideline-to-sideline backer who runs very well when making plays on the ball. Feneliace is the type of player that should only get better going forward.
Andy Jean Andy Jean 5'8" | 160 lbs | ATH Chambersburg Area | 2024 State PA . Jean is an elite playmaker who makes up for his lack of size by showing good speed and athleticism. He played wide receiver, and cornerback, and was the kickoff returner for Chambersburg last year. At wide receiver, he is a playmaker who can do it all. He runs good routes and gets in and out of his breaks well. He is difficult to tackle in the and racks up yards after the catch. He can take a short bubble screen and make it a big play. He is also good on contested catches where he usually comes down with the ball. Jean also shows the ability to catch the ball in traffic. On defense, he played cornerback and he showed good cover skills and also intercepted multiple passes as well. Jean does not have great size but is a playmaker who should have a good chance at playing College Football.
Pierce Schoenhofen Pierce Schoenhofen 6'2" | 235 lbs | OL Chambersburg Area | 2025 State PA . Pierce Schoenhofen Pierce Schoenhofen 6'2" | 235 lbs | OL Chambersburg Area | 2025 State PA is a good defensive line prospect who recently went to some College Football Camps and his recruiting is starting to heat up. Below is what I wrote about him earlier this year:
Schoenhofen played defensive line and guard for Chambersburg last year. He is very strong and you can see it at the point of attack by how he uses his strength on both sides of the ball. He does a nice job at guard pulling and kicking out defenders while going up to the next level. He also does a nice job blocking on double teams to the defensive tackles. At defensive line, he uses his hands well and leverage to control the offensive lineman. He also has a motor that never stops. Schoenhofen is a good line prospect who should only get better.
Stanley Lozius
Stanley Lozius
Stanley Lozius. Lozius played outside linebacker for Chambersburg last year. He is a good player that uses his athleticism well to attack offenses. He is really good at blitzing and finding a hole in the offense and then making a play. He does a good job setting the edge and making a play or forcing it inside, He also does a nice job of dropping in coverage and making plays on the ball. Lozius is a good prospect who should only get better going into his Junior Year.
Rhaigheon Parker. Parker played wide receiver last year for Chambersburg. He is a difference-maker at wide receiver. He can make a lot of plays all over the field at wide receiver. He is good at catching the ball in traffic and does a nice job making people miss after he catches the ball. Parker also does a nice job on contested catches when he goes up and catches the ball well. Parker recently visited Bluften University and picked up his 1st offer. I expect more offers to come Parker’s way as well.
Riley Harmon
Riley Harmon
Riley Harmon. Harmon was the primary quarterback for Chambersburg last year. He showed good mechanics and good footwork in the pocket. He shows on his film he can throw with anticipation and good touch. An example was his ability to throw in breaking routes like the slant. Harmon knew exactly when to throw the ball. Harmon did throw 9 interceptions, which is never good, but the flip side is they were down in a lot of games and he had to throw the ball to try to get his team back in the game. Harmon also has good mobility and is able to move his feet to buy time in the pocket to find wide receivers open. Harmon showed good skills and I am excited to see his Senior year.
Dayre Senft
Dayre Senft
Dayre Senft. Senft played running back for Chambersburg last year. He showed flashes of running the ball at a high level. He hits the hole well and is shifty in the hole. He has good speed and when he gets into the open field he runs past defenders. Senft does a nice job on wide zone or any run play outside where he can use his speed and elusiveness well. Senft showed a ton of skill last year and I am excited to see how he plays this year.
Jai’Tavius Kelly
Jai’Tavius Kelly
Jai’Tavius Kelly. Kelly is a talented football player who is 6’6″ wide receiver. Below is what I wrote about him earlier this year:
Jai’Tavius Kelly is someone who stole the show at the PIAA State Track Meet. He won 3 Gold Medals. The 4X100 Meter relay, the Triple Jump, and the High Jump. Standing 6’6 feet tall Kelly is an intriguing player on the football field and basketball court. I expect him to get much much more playing time this year. He played wide receiver and outside linebacker for Chambersburg.
Imari Watson Imari Watson 5'6" | 160 lbs | RB Chambersburg | 2025 State PA . Watson has limited film and it was largely based on Junior Varsity, but he flashed some good skills at running back. He does a nice job hitting the hole and then making people miss in the hole. He also shows good speed by running past defenders. When Watson gets into the open field he then uses his speed to separate from defenders. He is also a physical runner that runs through contact. Chambersburg has several options at running back and Watson is another player to the mix.
Final Thoughts: Chambersburg has a ton of skill position talent returning this year, so it is up to the offensive and defensive to step up and improve to give Chambersburg a chance at improving. They went 3-7 last year, I expect more wins than that, but they also play in the Mid-Penn Conference which will make it difficult for them. Chambersburg should be a team on the rise and I think they will be competitive this year.
