In this article, we are going to look at which prospects made headlines after a busy weekend. We are going to shine a spotlight on a few more prospects to keep an eye on this upcoming season.
Daniel Anderson Daniel Anderson 5'11" | 200 lbs | RB Bryant | 2025 AR -Running Back-Bryant-2025
The Bryant running back is getting ready to blow up from a recruiting perspective. Anderson does a great job of picking his rush lanes. He is a patient runner and allows the lane to develop before exploding through the hole. Anderson has proven to be a running back that can consistently catch the ball out of the backfield. Over the weekend, Anderson opened plenty of eyes with the Notre Dame coaching staff and earned a scholarship offer from the Fighting Irish. He is a prospect I expect big things from over the next two seasons. Keep an eye on Anderson.
Drew Davis Drew Davis 6'1" | 175 lbs | QB Benton | 2026 State AR -Quarterback-Benton-2026
Over the past few months, Drew Davis Drew Davis 6'1" | 175 lbs | QB Benton | 2026 State AR is a signal caller to keep an eye on for the Benton Panthers. Last week, Davis had the opportunity to put his accuracy on display. In the 7-on-7 tournament, Davis consistently fit the ball into some tight windows. However, he was not finished, Davis continued to make plenty of plays with his arm. In Dallas, he was able to display his arm strength and accuracy. Davis has the potential to be a prospect we see take snaps on Saturdays in the future.
Carius Curne Carius Curne 6'5" | 290 lbs | OL Marion | 2025 State AR -Defensive Line-Marion-2025
The versatile Marion product had the opportunity to show what he could do in Dallas over the weekend, and he did not disappoint. Curne was excellent in one-on-one drills. He uses his power and speed combination well. Over the weekend, the talented Marion lineman earned scholarship offers from Liberty and SMU. Curne is setting the stage for a strong 2023 football season. He is a prospect to keep an eye on in the fall.
Greyson Jerry Greyson Jerry 5'11" | 180 lbs | LB Fayetteville | 2026 State AR -Linebacker-Fayetteville-2026
At the Oklahoma Sooners camp over the weekend, Greyson Jerry Greyson Jerry 5'11" | 180 lbs | LB Fayetteville | 2026 State AR did a great job of showcasing his coverage ability at the linebacker position. Jerry uses his speed well and was impressive in one-on-one coverage situations. He already does an impressive job of defeating blocks and getting into the opposing offensive backfield. Jerry is a 2026 prospect that college scouts are going to want to keep tabs on over the next couple of seasons.
Derrick Murdock Derrick Murdock 5'11" | 190 lbs | LB Little Rock Southwest | 2024 State AR -Linebacker-Little Rock Southwest-2024
Derrick Murdock Derrick Murdock 5'11" | 190 lbs | LB Little Rock Southwest | 2024 State AR had a terrific 2022 football season. Murdock has hit the camp circuit with the same intensity that he did the regular season last season. At the Football University camp, Murdock earned an invitation to the Top Gun event later in the summer. Last season, Murdock led the state in quarterback sacks. I expect another strong season from the talented linebacker this upcoming season. He is setting the stage for an impressive season.
Carmilo Allen-Defensive Back-Fordyce-2024
Fordyce has a history of producing talented players that can play at the next level. Carmilo Allen is another versatile prospect that can play anywhere on the field. On the defensive side of the ball, he can play the cornerback or safety positions with equal precision. He uses his speed well to defeat blocks and get into the opposing backfield. Allen does not miss tackles. He does a great job of wrapping up the ball carrier. Allen had a strong performance in the All-Arkansas camp over the weekend and in the process earned a scholarship offer from Arkansas Tech.
