Ben led Charlotte to their first playoff victory in 17 years, and I don’t think he’s done raising the bar. Buzzard is a dual threat guy that can hurt you in many ways. His touch is really good, and his decision making had me really impressed. He can pull it down and scramble, but doesn’t make it his priority. In the option game, he made good decisions and took care of the ball and got the yards available. With another year in the system, I could see Ben making a push up the board with another stellar year like ’22 was.

Wright is an interesting prospect, as I think there are some huge upsides to him, we just have to see it all put together. The basics are there for him, as he plays the ball well, and has the athleticism to keep up with receivers and stay on their hip. He also is not afraid to come up and make tackles in the run game, and has a nose for the football and always finds himself in the play. His coaches tell me they are very high on him coming into this year. If he is able to put together a good season where he is able to display his abilities, he could find himself ranked and getting some colleges in his ear.

Charlie has all the tools to be a solid prospect for some teams looking for available 2024’s. Great size, really good athleticism, and a fantastic arm give Charlie a great foundation to work off of. He throws the deep ball with accuracy, and when I watch his film I am impressed with the way he stands in the pocked and delivers strikes with pressure. His pump fake is a great tool in his arsenal that gets a lot of defenders moving out of position. I really think if he commits to the grind, he could be a top player in the Big North, and find himself ranked pretty high before the end of the season.
Nathan is a utility guy that can do anything he is asked to offensively. He has good hands, good vision when running and can take and deliver hits. I think he will have even more production this year, and his numbers are going to speak too loudly to hold off the ranked list. His short bursts and quick twitch are impressive, but he has breakaway speed when he gets out in the open field. With his versatility, I think he will make a huge jump this season.
After putting on a clinic for running QB’s, DeYoung had to make this list. Turn on his tape and you will see he isn’t like most QB’s. He loves to run between the tackles, and he has an ability to break tackles that you don’t see often. For some reason, defenders just struggle to bring this guy down! He may have an uphill battle to climb into the rankings, but if he can develop as a passer a bit more, he could jump onto the list. Being in 8-Player divisions can make it hard for a player to get exposure, but I assure anyone who hasn’t done their homework on Eli, this guy is someone who could make a program better, even if it isn’t as a passer.
