Although there is no tape to evaluate just yet, John is primed to make a big impact for years to come. Set up at 6’0″ and 190 lb as a freshman, John will continue to put on size and become a household name in no time. Being a part of a winning program such as St. Joseph’s, John Lanari John Lanari 6’0″ | 190 lbs | DL St. Joseph Regional | 2026 NJ is in a position to excel in 2023.
Dorian Kelsey Dorian Kelsey 6’1″ | 210 lbs | DL The Pennington | 2026 NJ is another example of a player that is ready to make a huge impact his sophomore season. Playing for the Pennington School as a defensive end, Dorian is a future sack artist. He rushes off of the edge with great speed and even has the ability to chase down ball carriers. A player that can straight up bull rush linemen and throw them around, he is a hungry defender that is set up to make some big plays in the near future.
Jymir Williams Jymir Williams 5’11” | 160 lbs | DB Irvington | 2026 State NJ is a cornerback with a larger frame and more modern size for the position. He presses the receiver at the line and can run step to step with them. A future lock down cornerback, Jymir doesn’t get shaken up by a receiver with quick feet. He’ll mimic their movement and make a move on the ball when it’s thrown his way. I am looking forward to see the progress Jymir will continue to make with Irvington in 2023.
Kani Golden Kani Golden 5’10” | 180 lbs | DB Haddon Heights | 2026 NJ is the final player on this list to keep an eye out for in 2023. A player that is very versatile and can lineup in multiple positions on defense, Kani is a play maker whether he’s set back at the safety position or up at the line. A sure tackler, Kani can fly up from the safety position to stop the back in his tracks. He will not let a runner get outside of him once he’s made his way up to the line. With 58 total tackles, 1 sack and 3 TFLs in 2022, Kani is quick and decisive and can pivot into the right position to set himself up to make the play.
