Continue ReadingAnderson had a heck of a showing in 2022, with 1000+ rushing yards, 22 TD’s and a boat load of yards after contact. He slips through arm tackles with ease and has a dangerous stiff arm. He plays with aggression and grit, blowing up defenders as a lead/pass blocker and even runs through tackles of much bigger defensive linemen. Expect Anderson to have another good year at the wheel in Fredricks backfield.
Highlights
Groves has been rising on the radar since he was a sophomore making big plays and showing off his elusiveness and speed. Now we have an official gauge on his speed at a 4.4s 40-yard dash that translates to gameplay with no question. Groves should be climbing recruiting boars even faster, he’s been landing offers, lighting up 7on7 tournaments and just started camp season with a bang. Don’t sleep on groves, he will be entertaining to watch this season.
Anthony is a mean steamroller at Magruder HS in Rockville. He’s very under-recruited, but the film speaks for itself. He uses his size and 495lb squat to overpower his opponents on both sides of the ball. Whether its offense or defense you need, he could be a great pick up for a smaller school. keep an eye on him through this season, with some good consistent play his recruiting stock could skyrocket.
Austin is what we call an ironman athlete, he can be a threat at multiple positions and is usually the most dangerous player on the field at all times. He’s originally a WR and DB but he’s been steering the reins at QB for Oakdale, slicing through defenses like a hot knife. He really gets to put his ball carrying ability and elusiveness on display, foreshadowing how dangerous he could be at the next level. He currently has 10+ offers and counting and is still uncommitted.
Petruzello is a real deal baller, he has the size, athleticism, and arm strength to make you want to see more. He shows good accuracy on his short/medium passes and drops the ball in the receivers breadbasket on deep throws. He is dangerous outside the pocket and can take it the distance if his scrambling is taken lightly. Outside of his athletic ability he’s a competitor who is confident in himself an expects great things. He just landed his 3rd offer giving him 3 FCS offers, keep an eye on him as he leads his team into battle his senior year.
