After spending a large portion of the mega camp watching quarterbacks run through positional drills with coaches, here’s my list of the top quarterback performers from the Tennessee State Mega Camp.

At the top of my list of gunslinger standouts from the Tennessee State Mega Camp is Deuce Bailey Deuce Bailey 6'1" | 170 lbs | QB Bowling Green | 2025 State KY , a 6-foot-1, 165-pound quarterback at Bowling Green High School. Bailey was a highly explosive offensive weapon at the helm of the Purples’ offense during his sophomore stint of high school football last year. In 15 contests, Bailey threw 221 completions out of 360 attempts for 3,136 yards and 34 touchdowns. Bailey additionally attempted 71 rush attempts for 424 yards and three touchdowns. Bailey caught my attention during the quarterback drills as he displayed excellent quickness and consistent passing. Later on, Bailey showed off his arm strength, completing several impressive deep passes. Entering next season, Bailey will definitely be a quarterback prospect out of the Bowling Green, KY. area to keep an eye on.

Finishing in the number two spot on my list of gunslinger standouts is Ty Collins Ty Collins 6'3" | 205 lbs | QB Nolensville | 2024 State TN , a 6-foot-3, 200-pound quarterback at Nolensville High School. During his junior stint with the Knights last year, Collins and his teammates led Nolensville to an impressive 12-1 overall record and a first place finish in 5A Region 6 with a 5-0 mark. In addition to excellent size and speed, Collins stood out due to his arm strength and pin-point accuracy during the positional drills portion of the camp. The rising senior out of Nolensville, TN. also showcased tons of versatility and excellent footwork. Entering the 2023 season, Collins should be an interesting quarterback prospect in the Volunteer State to keep an eye on.

Coming in at number three on my list of top standouts is Weston Edmondson Weston Edmondson 6'5" | 205 lbs | QB GCA | 2025 State TN , a 6-foot-4, 195-pound quarterback at Grace Christian Academy. Edmondson made a huge impact under center for the Rams during his sophomore stint of high school football last year. In 11 contests, Edmondson threw 129 completions out of 202 attempts for 1,578 yards and 13 touchdowns. Edmondson caught my attention during the positional drills portion of the camp. In addition to impressive size and speed, Edmondson was one of the more versatile quarterbacks on the field, showing off his solid footwork and arm strength. Heading into this upcoming season, Edmondson should be an interesting quarterback prospect out of the Volunteer State to watch more closely.

In the number four spot on my list of top performers is Jayden Neal Jayden Neal 6'0" | 195 lbs | QB Knox. Catholic | 2025 State TN , a 6-foot-0, 180-pound quarterback at Knoxville Catholic High School. Neal made a huge difference under center for the Fighting Irish during his sophomore stint of high school football last year. In 10 games, Neal threw 185 completions out of 326 attempts for 2,586 yards and 19 touchdowns. Neal caught my attention during positional drills, showing off excellent footwork and arm strength, and a strong spiral on the ball. With great size, speed and versatility, Neal should be another quarterback prospect from the state of Tennessee to keep an eye on next season.
Finishing at number five on my list of standouts is Jackson Smith Jackson Smith 6'3" | 175 lbs | QB Walton-Verona | 2024 State KY , a 6-foot-2, 175-pound quarterback at Walton-Verona High School. Smith made a huge impact at the helm of the Bearcats’ offense during his junior stint of high school football last year. In 12 games, Smith threw 85 completions out of 193 attempts for 988 yards and 13 touchdowns. Smith additionally recorded 146 rush attempts for 1,024 yards and nine scores. In addition to excellent size and speed, Smith impressed me with his footwork and arm strength, launching several impressive deep passes later on in the camp. The rising senior out of Walton, KY. should be an intriguing gunslinger prospect in Kentucky to keep an eye on this upcoming season.
Cam O’Hara Cam O’Hara 6'2" | 180 lbs | QB Cooper | 2026 State KY , a 6-foot-2, 165-pound quarterback at Cooper High School. O’Hara was highly explosive at the helm of the Jaguars’ offense during his freshman stint of high school football last year. In 11 contests, O’Hara threw 128 completions out of 219 attempts for 2,018 yards and 21 touchdowns. O’Hara additionally recorded 19 rush attempts and one score on the ground. O’Hara was one of the more versatile quarterbacks on the field this past week, showing off his size, speed, footwork and arm strength. O’Hara shined at multiple moments during the camp, completing several impressive completions throughout camp. The rising sophomore out of Florence, KY. is definitely worth watching more closely this upcoming season.
