Brent Washington
Brent Washington
2024 6’0 228 RB/LB: The returning 7-2A DPOY was as advertised. He was impressive on both sides of the ball. He is a tough guy to bring down one on one from the RB position. If he doesn’t just lower his shoulder and run over tacklers, he will use a stiff arm to throw them off. A beast from the MLB spot with good vision and accelerates to the ball carry. Does a good job covering passing routes. Holds multiple offers including App. St, Ga State and Ga Southern.
2024 5’9 185 QB: This guy can scoot and has a cannon for an arm. Good build with strong legs. Very elusive in the pocket and is always a threat to tuck and run. An accurate passer that has the arm strength to make the throws to the outside and well as deep. He was the Region 4-4A POY last season for Troup County. Has offers from Army, Navy, SE Mo and recently offered from Northern Illinois.

2024 6’0 175 RB/LB/DB: Trion was the smallest school at the Camp (Class A) and Maddux proved he could play with the big “dawgs”. Has real quick feet and change of direction and explodes through the hole. Has break away speed once he gets to the 2nd level. Did a good job in coverage not allowing the WR’s too have room. Two time State Championship wrestler with 4.6 speed and has added 15+ pounds of good weight since last season. Breakout season potential for the rising Senior.

2024 6’1 195 RB: I’m always looking for breakout players during these events in the Summer and this was the guy for me on Thursday. Athletic build that is a fearless North-South runner. Ran through several tackles from bigger defenders and accelerates quickly after contact, clocked at 4.5 in the 40. Placed 3rd this year in the long jump at the State Finals (21 4.5). Excellent student and person off the field. Definitely a player that needs to be added to college recruiting boards.
2024 6’2 190 HB/LB: I had heard a lot about this guy but had never had a chance to see him in person, he didn’t disappoint. Passes the eye test, great build with strong lower body. Does a good job keeping the space between himself and blockers with arm extension. Was one of the best at the camp throwing blockers off to pursue the ball carrier and make a tackle. Good vision and once he makes a decision he accelerates well to the ball. Three sport athlete and earned the Region Iron Man Award in ’22. Would be a good fit at high academic schools as he carries a 4.0 gpa.

Ty Griffin
Ty Griffin
2024 6’0 200 LB/TE/WR: Played mostly TE on the offensive side of the ball last year but is transitioning over to the LB spot this year. Shows good instinct for the ball. Good form tackler that has the quickness to get by the OL. A leader on the field and in the weight room. Excellent student with a high GPA that will be a steal for a college next year. A player to keep on your radar this Fall as the Cougars will be playing some of the top competition in the State in Region 5-6A.
Daniel O’Neal

2024 6’0 225 LB: Plays and looks a lot bigger than his stated height and weight. Moves well and once he gets you wrapped up you are going down. Strong and aggressive that just bull rushes the offensive lineman. Agile and changes direction well. Was one of the TFL leaders in the Region last season. Recently was offered post camp at Reinhardt College.
