A showcase that began five years ago by Owner/Trainer Mike McCarthy and his staff, to showcase top Qb’s they train on a yearly basis. The following Quarterbacks caught the eyes of Coach McCarthy and stood out during the event. This is Part 1 of a 3-part series.
Barrington High School-QB CO-2024 6’2 215
He is ranked as our #33 QB in the class of 2024 in New England.
His performance helped earn him an offer from Univ. of Rhode Island. He also won the longest ball competition.
Coach McCarthy Comments: Another dude that balled out this weekend.
2024/Phillips Exeter Academy /QB/ 6’3”/ 205lbs 3.9GPA
He is a recruit we had listed in the 2023 class accidently. This error omitted him from our updated rankings. He will surely be added to our next updated rankings in August 2023.
His performance earned him a offer from Univ. of Maine.
Coach McCarthy Comments: Congrats to 2024 QB Eddie Buehler Eddie Buehler 6’3″ | QB Phillips Exeter Academy | 2024 State NewE on his offer from @BlackBearsFB – there will be more on the way. Ed is a no brainer.

Coach McCarthy Comments: 2025 Romy Jain Romy Jain 6’0″ | 185 lbs | QB Souhegan | 2025 State NewE is one of the hidden gems in New England. Definitely one of the top 25’s in the area without question.
Coach Silva Notes: Had a chance to speak with him at the end of the event. A solid character recruit who has very good confidence in his abilities. Loves the game and puts in the work needed to improve. He showed very good competitive traits through out the event.

Coach McCarthy Comments: 2024 Max Stevelman is a Division I QB in my opinion. Quick trigger, high spin rate/velocity , athletic, consistent mechanics, and has great film/production. Max has improved tremendously this offseason.

He is ranked as our #1 Qb in the 2026 class in New England.
Coach McCarthy Comments: He was extremely impressive this weekend- he will be one of the top Quarterbacks in the state next fall. College coaches keep an eye on this one.
