Sammy Brown Sammy Brown 6'2" | 225 lbs | ATH Jefferson | 2024 State GA – ATH – Jefferson
The No. 2 overall prospect in Georgia, Sammy Brown Sammy Brown 6'2" | 225 lbs | ATH Jefferson | 2024 State GA made his highly-anticipated commitment this week as he committed to Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Tigers. Brown had official visits lined up to Georgia, Ohio State and Oklahoma this month, but after taking his official visit to Clemson, the two-way superstar out of Jefferson decided to shut down his recruitment and commit to his childhood favorite school. The Tigers are now getting an incredible athlete who will likely play running back when he gets to campus. A fast, hard-hitting defender with plenty of size and muscle at 6-foot-2 225-pounds, Brown is an easy 5-star prospect who has had a 5-star high school career at Jefferson. As a junior last fall, Brown rushed for 1,449 yards and 21 touchdowns. Defensively, Brown made 113 tackles, 5 TFLs, one sack and one INT.
Justin Greene Justin Greene 6'4" | 225 lbs | DL Mountain View | 2024 State GA – DL – Mountain View
The No. 23 prospect in the state, Greene is coming off an official visit to Georgia this past weekend, and that’s all he needed to see in order to find his next home. With Greene on board, the Bulldogs are getting an explosive defender off the ball with a promising 6-foot-4 260-pounds who uses his length to easily shed blocks from opposing offensive linemen. Greene has plenty of time to add more weight and muscle, giving him a chance to overpower defenders while keeping his athleticism. He can reach out and grab the ball carrier and knows how to sling them to the ground. He’s a hard hitter who can help against the run while providing a reliable pass rush. There’s a lot to like about his game, and his best football is ahead of him. Greene made 63 tackles, 9.5 TFLs, and four sacks last fall as a junior.
One of the top overall athletes in North Georgia, the two-way standout from Rabun Gap has made his college commitment, and he’s decided to stay in the peach-state to play for Brent Key and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. A do-it-all athlete who can make big plays in all three phases of the game, Horne did a little bit of everything last season as a junior for Rabun Gap. A natural with the ball in his hands, Horne is quick, elusive, and has breakaway speed anytime he’s given an opportunity to run in space. Offensively, the 6-foot-3 180-pounder carried the ball just 57 times last year, but averaged an outstanding 9.3 yards per carry for a total of 532 yards. He found the end-zone consistently, scoring 14 touchdowns times on the ground. He also showed reliable ball skills in the passing game, catching 47 passes for 772 yards and seven more touchdowns. Defensively, Horne made 21 tackles and forced two fumbles. He’ll give the Yellow Jackets a big-time athlete who could make an early impact in Atlanta for the 2024 season.
Daniel Jones Daniel Jones 6'5" | 255 lbs | OL Lowndes | 2024 State GA – OL – Lowndes
A big-time tackle prospect with size, length, and a physical presence, Jones is one of the top 2024 OT prospects in Georgia who has found his home at the next level, making his commitment recently to Coastal Carolina. The 6-foot-4 265-pounder moves extremely well for his size and can dominate both as a run blocker and as a pass-protector. Thee Lowndes Viking have a new staff in place for the 2022 season, and now they have one of the best tackles for the upcoming season in Jones. He’s quick off thee ball, uses his length to his advantage, and does a good job of blocking until thee whistle is blown. He’s a big-time commitment and it’s clear Coastal Carolina is getting a steal in the big left tackle prospect.
