The Grand Rapids-Muskegon areas are a massive hotbed for college football prospects, and I’m delighted to live in the epicenter of it all. This article will list just a few of the dozens of seniors prepping for what I think will be their best season ever. Check them out!
DE/TE | Stanley Cunningham Stanley Cunningham 6'5" | 200 lbs | ATH Muskegon | 2024 State MI | Muskegon | Hudl
Every Muskegon coach I’ve talked to recently has had high praise for Stanley Cunningham Stanley Cunningham 6'5" | 200 lbs | ATH Muskegon | 2024 State MI . Last season, Stanley proved he was one of the best D-Linemen in the West, posting 8.5 Sacks, 15TFLs, and 59 Tackles in 13 games. Now, Stanley seems to be bulking up a tad and making the switch to TE. This should add a whole new layer to Muskegon’s offense and will surely propel Stanley into what I think will be Division 1 offers.
Specifically for his technique, I like his tape at DE. I don’t love his getoff, but he still has the skill to win with speed consistently, and once he’s in the backfield, he uses his long body to wrap up whoever has the ball. In fact, he has some impressive wins against great offensive tackles. I haven’t seen much of him in terms of receiving the ball, but I thought he looked fine a few weeks ago at the Ferris St. Camp in Muskegon.
WR/OLB | Ryner Snow | West Catholic | Hudl
Ryner Snow is a name I’ve overlooked in the past, but after seeing his Hope offer, I had to look into him. First off, you gotta love 6’4″ 195 for a receiver. His stats of 23 catches for 510 yds and 7TDs also bolster his stock. He also has amazing defensive stats with 12 sacks, 83 tkls, and 4INTs.
Offensively, I love his concentration and his ability to track the football + come down with contested catches. He uses his size well and is able to pull in some difficult catches. I like his release, while his route-running is spotty, and at times impossible to see deeper routes because of the film.
Defensively I absolutely love his willingness to attack. Ryner does not hesitate and goes 100% at whatever his defensive assignment is. I like his reaction time and overall burst he has on defense. His height/weight tell me he’ll have to bulk up if he plays full-time D at the next level, but I think he could do it.
ATH/QB | Cash Ruff Cash Ruff 6'4" | 205 lbs | ATH Grandville | 2024 State MI | Grandville | Hudl
Look out; Cash Ruff Cash Ruff 6'4" | 205 lbs | ATH Grandville | 2024 State MI might take over the OK-Red next fall, and Grandville is a major sleeper to win the division. Cash is a pure athlete with an insanely well-built frame with the stamina to take over football games. As a QB, he’s a dual threat. With the offense he runs, naturally, he doesn’t pass much. Think of Cash as a Parker Picot-Type QB who generally is a fantastic runner and an average passer. Defensively, I’m surprised by how much I liked Cash as a boundary DB. He has a few good wins against college prospect WRs, and Cash is especially good when he gets to press. His size doesn’t typically make much sense as a boundary DB, so I expect he’ll switch to OLB or S in college.
WR | Mill Coleman Mill Coleman 6'0" | 160 lbs | WR Grand Rapids Catholic Central | 2024 State MI | GR Catholic Central | Hudl
The North Farmington transfer is about to tear it up for the Cougars. He’s a track star who runs impressive deep routes, and now he has a top-10 QB in the class to catch passes from. I truly think Mill is set for a sensational season, and he’s already received offers from Davenport and Sienna Heights.
QB | Nic Gordon Nic Gordon 6'5" | 200 lbs | QB Sparta | 2024 MI | Sparta | Hudl
Nic Gordon Nic Gordon 6'5" | 200 lbs | QB Sparta | 2024 MI is one of the most underappreciated QBs in Michigan. 6’5″ 200 is a superb size for a QB, and knows how to run a more spread-out offense. His footwork is sometimes spotty but overall solid. Accuracy is good but sometimes inconsistent. I fully expect Nic to get some significant college attention. Right now, I expect DIII offers for Nic this fall.
