Friday Film Session (Alabama) 6-16-23

Let's check it out.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Jamar Jones, OLB, Hoover, 2024</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Jones is a an edge player who is long with nice speed. He applies a lot of pressure when he comes off the line. He makes it hard for offensive tackles to be able to be comfortable with their kick steps. Jones uses his length, but he needs to be more fiesty with his hands. I think that he has a great chance to be a division one football player. His film is showing his athleticism. He even hustles down field on kickoff.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='788620' first='Kam' last='Weaver'], OLB, Andalusia, 2024</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Weaver is an outside linebacker that has a lot of speed. He is super athletic. He is also a finesse player that brings aggression to his game. Weaver can pick off a pass and take it to the house. He knows how to read. When he comes up to make a hit, he brings the pain. A lot of schools are anxious to have him playing on their defense. His film is very exciting to watch.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Jacori Avery, CB, Saks, 2025</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Avery is a very solid cornerback that knows how to handle his business on the islands. When he gets ready to go into his back pedal, he is real smooth. I love how he makes sure he keeps good arm length separation when he is covering man-to-man. Avery is very polished. I'll be sure to keep up with him. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Malachi Taylor, RB, Anniston, 2024</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Taylor is a running back that has a lot of speed. He is a return specialist that knows how to give his team good field position. He is a guy that changes directions quickly. When it is time for him to come out of his cuts, he explodes. He has nice balance between the tackles. Even though he isn't the biggest guy on the field, he isn't the easiest guy to arm tackle. I am very excited I ran across his film. Keep an eye on this kid. He could see his stock rise soon.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
