We all remember key moments when kickers make and miss kicks on big stages. My fondest memory of a High School kicker was when I was coaching at York High our kicker made a 45-yard field goal to win a game. High School kickers can be specialized players you get off the soccer team or they could play different positions on the field. They come in all shapes and sizes. Below are some kickers from the 2024 and 2025 classes who should get some College Football looks. This is part 2.
Andy Palm
Andy Palm
Andy Palm Trinity. Palm went 19/20 on extra points and 3/4 on field goals. Palm longest field goal was 33 yards. Palm has an excellent skill of directional kicking. On kickoffs, he was good at squibbing the ball and also popping the kick high up in the air. Palm has good size for the position standing 6’2″ inches tall. Palm has 2 more years left of kicking and should only get better.
Noah Ritko
Noah Ritko
Noah Ritko Richland. Ritko went 53/55 on extra points and 2/2 on field goals last year for Richland. A nice Sophomore year for Ritko. His field goals were from 30-32 yards, so solid range. Ritko only has one touchdown on kickoffs, but he was really good at directional kicks. He would kick the ball on the sideline and it would lead to the returning team rushing to get the ball or it just land in play. Ritko had a solid Sophomore year, but should only get better next year.
Caden Bauer
Caden Bauer
Caden Bauer Serra Catholic. Bauer had a good Sophomore year for Serra Catholic. He was 40/45 on extra points and 1/2 on field goals. Bauer showed an ability to kick onside kicks where he would get a bounce and then hit the defenders. He was also good at directional kicks along the sideline on kickoffs. Bauer showed he is a consistent kicker who should only kick better the next two years.
Highlights
Matthew Parker Matthew Parker 6'2" | 205 lbs | K Central York | 2025 PA Central York. Parker has great size for a kicker standing 6’2″ inches tall. He was 2/3 on field goals for the year. He made a 35-yard field goal and a 34-yard field goal. He showed a strong leg on kickoffs with several touchbacks. Several times the kickoffs were kicked in the back of the end zone. He also punted for Central York and did a nice job with that. Parker has a very strong leg and showed it off last year. I expect Parker to have an even better Junior year.
