Continue ReadingLogan Bush Logan Bush 5’10” Don Bosco Prep | 2024 NJ is one of NJ’s most impressive running backs. A soon to be senior for Don Bosco Prep, Logan is that explosive player that helps elevate his team to another level. Rushing for 1319 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2022, Logan takes one cut and he is gone. As a fluid runner, he is able to make his way to open space very effortlessly; finding the path of least resistance. And with foot work that can make a defender look silly, Logan is able to put the play on pause, lock the defenders legs up, and sprint off for a big gain. Another great Don Bosco running back, make sure to go catch him this fall.
Jaylen McClain Jaylen McClain 6’0″ | 175 lbs | DB Seton Hall | 2024 State NJ is one of New Jersey’s finest defensive backs. Playing with a ton of moxie and what seems to be a chip on his shoulder, Jaylen is determined to be one of the best. An elite safety for Seton Hall Prep, Jaylen seems to always put himself in the right position to be successful. He has quick recognition and fluid hip movement, and is able to blow up the play before it can develop. Watch him as he darts up the field to meet the running back at the edge and deliver a punishing blow.
Jaylen has a rare combination of great size and sprinter speed. He is capable of chasing down some of the best runners NJ has to offer. Totaling 83 tackles on the season, an interception and a sack, Jaylen is continuing his momentum into 2023.
St. Joseph’s John Forster John Forster 5’11” | 180 lbs | RB St. Joe’s Monvtale | 2025 NJ is player you will find all over the field. A true all purpose player, John lined up at RB and WR, and even made a huge impact on special teams as well. This kid is quick. He has an exceptional burst of speed, and is rarely touched immediately when the ball is in his hands. For almost all of his touchdowns on the year (9 in total) he got to the end zone unscathed. On offense, John was able to rush for 451 yards and catch another 358 yards. It’s hard to keep track of him on the field, and it’s best to line your best defender up against him, or he will make you regret it.
Kenyon Massey Kenyon Massey 5’10” | 165 lbs | WR Paramus Catholic | 2024 State NJ is one of New Jersey’s most impactful receivers. As a wide out and returner, Kenyon had 1219 all purpose yards on the season and 13 touchdowns. Playing for St. Peter’s Prep, Kenyon is a more slender receiver that uses his frame to be an extremely smooth route runner. He can shake up a defender with quick feet at the line and make them stumble as he runs past them on a deep route. To defend against him, you really need someone glued to him at the hip. He will make his way to open space if the defender lets up even an inch. Kenyon is the type of receiver that makes a QB’s job much easier to perform.
The final addition to this first portion of United Red is a player that has been highlighted before, and continues to impress the scouts. Quincy Porter Quincy Porter 6’4″ | 195 lbs | WR Bergen Catholic | 2025 State NJ has next level capabilities already. A receiver for Bergen Catholic, Quincy overshadows most of his competition with great height. He is capable of doing everything an elite receiver is needed to do. He is a reliable pass catcher any time the ball is lofted in the air, especially when there are opportunities to put points on the board. He is extremely smooth for his size, and runs down the field with speed you wouldn’t expect. He is one of NJ’s best receivers, and you can be sure to hear more about him for years to come.
