However, the amount of talent the state has at the cornerback and safety positions is extremely impressive. We are going to shine a spotlight on some prospects to watch out for in the secondary. Several of the prospects you may be familiar with already, but all will become well known this season.
Drake Fowler Drake Fowler 6'2" | 160 lbs | DB Bryant | 2024 State AR -Safety-Bryant-2024
The future Air Force Falcon is a safety that is all over the field for the Bryant Hornets. He does a great job of playing the ball while it is in the air. Fowler does an impressive job of separating the ball from the ball carrier as well. He has the soft hands needed to pick off passes and take them back in the opposite direction. Bryant is defending a state championship and both Fowler and Bryant should have a big 2023 football season.

Robinson is a safety that has the coverage ability to cause plenty of problems for opposing wide receivers. He has the versatility to shift over to the cornerback spot. Robinson has the speed to cause issues for opposing wide receivers and quarterbacks. The offseason has been an impressive one for Robinson and he is setting the stage for a strong 2023 football season.
Davian Hall-Safety-Elkins-2025
The Elkins safety is another prospect in the class of 2025 that has the ability to play all over the field for the Elks. He has great speed and uses it well to stick with opposing wide receivers. Hall is not afraid to get physical with the opponents’ wide receivers. Meanwhile, Elkins does an excellent job of using the talented Hall to stretch the field in the passing game. He has flown under the radar up to this point but is a player that will make plenty of noise this upcoming season.

Marcus Wimberly Marcus Wimberly 6'1" | 170 lbs | DB Bauxite | 2025 State AR is a dynamic athlete that is starting to explode from a recruiting perspective. He is a prospect that can cause plenty of damage to the opponent’s passing game from the cornerback spot. Wimberly has the versatility to see action on both sides of the ball this season for the Miners. He has the potential to produce a big season for Bauxite and in the process open plenty of eyes. I expect a big season from Wimberly and Bauxite.
