A showcase that began five years ago by Owner/Trainer Mike McCarthy and his staff. The event’s mission purpose is to showcase and provide a stage for New England’s top Qb’s they train, and those who want to learn more about the qb position training they provide to recruits on a yearly basis.
The event continues to grow each year with additional high-profile qb’s receivers and defensive back recruits coupled with many all-level college coaches that attend. This year, the 2023 showcase was no disappointment and is surely on track to be a annual premier showcase that many New England recruits and national college coaches from all levels will want to attend next year. The showcase allows wide receivers and defensive backs to showcase their athletic abilities in a very controlled and safe environment with plenty of opportunity for reps. The staff recognizes top athlete performers and hands out Awards & MVP on the last day. This includes observation of these athletes during both days. Top Performers and MVP will be featured in another report coming soon. The following athletes were standouts that caught my eyes… This is part 3 of a 3-part series on the standout athlete performers, I observed during the event.
Markus Andrews Markus Andrews 5’10” | 170 lbs | ATH Dartmouth H.S. Ma. | 2025 State New E A name not known to me prior to this event. His quickness and ability to plant and break away from defenders caught my attention. rnVery smooth runner with good field vision. Can play slot of wide. Experienced route runner. Has the ability to track the ball, use his body to block defenders, and make the big play. Playmaking ability easily pops with him in a offense. Solid recruit who plays fast. Will easily make our next updated rankings being released August 2023.

Ben Schreiber Ben Schreiber 6’1″ | 210 lbs | LB Needham | 2025 State New E A name not known to me prior to this event. He caught my attention during the 7on7 period, when the coaches positioned him as a linebacker. He as a very good frame for the linebacker position and is not stranger to the weight room. He understands zone coverages. Seen with very good reactionary skills.rnHe can run the field laterally. Showed the speed to run fast enough to match/catch offensive skill players in space. He is still young and has me wondering just how much more growth he will have before he ends his high school career.
Highlights
Alvin Gaston Alvin Gaston 6’1″ | 180 lbs | ATH Durfee H.S. Ma | 2026 State New E Coming off freshman season where he made some good plays, “Gaston” is a name that we should hear about during the fall 2023 season. Caiden Carriuolo Caiden Carriuolo 5’8″ | 175 lbs | WR Middleboro H.S. MA | 2025 State New E He was electric through out the camp. He is a bit undersized at 5’8″, but his athletic ability is surely a site to see. rnDoes everything with obvious quickness and it shows. He has fast twitch movements with flexibility and speed combined in his athleticism. Breakaway speed is solid and pops. Has excellent body control and balance and makes difficult catches look easy. He gets out of his breaks by planting and using a quick high level burst that is easily noticeable when running his routes.
