Jacobson was sharp in coverage for the Hawks in 2022. He’s comfortable lining up on an island and getting in receivers’ faces. Jacobson does an excellent job jamming wideouts at the line of scrimmage and quickly reacts to their moments. He does a great job playing the ball in the air and can deflect passes away at just the right time. Jacobson has a high football IQ and does a good job passing off slant routes in short-yardage situations or in the red zone. He’s no doubt going to have a tremendous junior season.

Hifo is incredibly versatile. He can play all over the Bulldog’s defensive backfield, but no matter where he lines up always make big plays. Hifo doesn’t let receivers get behind him and has the speed to cover both sidelines. He can also come down to cover pass catchers or play in the box. Hifo possesses impressive closing speed and times his breakups just right to avoid penalties. His quickness also makes him a dynamic blitzer who zips past offensive linemen before dropping quarterbacks.

Doty denies receivers passes time and time again on the outside. He does a great job watching his man but also excels at locating the ball and capitalizing on poor decisions from quarterbacks. Doty has good hands and is an elite athlete who can take errant passes back for six. He has excellent hips and hits like a truck when flying in to break up potential big plays. Doty is a stout tackler, and he takes excellent angles when coming down to blast opposing ball carriers.
Malu Lumpkins || DB || 6’1 || 195 || Northridge High School || 2025
Lumpkins has the skills to shine on either side of the ball. He was a star at receiver in 2022 for the Knights but could also be an outstanding safety at the next level. Lumpkins impressive frame makes him a force to be reckoned with as a strong safety. He brings the Physicality when playing in the box and when jarring balls lose with strong hits on the outside. Lumpkins has glue for hands and, with his long arms, has one of the class’s best catch radius for a defensive back.
