We’ve got all the details on Prep Redzone…
A South Georgia back finally seeing his recruitment pick up, Marshall is a 5-foot-10 190-pound back from Irwin County who added two recent offers already this month from Liberty and South Florida, in addition to his first offer last month from Georgia Southern. A strong down-hill runner who runs with good pad level and does a nice job of dragging defenders forward for extra yards, Marshall is a physical back for his size with impressive lower-body strength, but he’s strong in the upper body as well, bench-pressing over 300-pounds. He breaks a lot of tackles, but showed last year as a sophomore that he has breakaway speed as well. He can get upfield in a hurry and consistently out-ran defenses to the end-zone. In 2022, Marshall carried the ball 161 times for 845 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Jacobe Ward – OT – Benedictine
A big-time 2025 OL out of Savannah who is starting to see plenty of offers come his way, Ward is a big right tackle to helped protect Benedictine QB Luke Kromenhoek Luke Kromenhoek 6'4" | 185 lbs | QB Benedictine Military | 2024 State GA as the Cadets went on to win another state championship. An absolute bully at times last year, Ward showed he’s an excellent pass protector from the right side with great footwork, balance, and raw power. He was a pancake machine last year and it led to recent offers from Virginia Tech and Arkansas so far this month. He’s reliable in the run game as well and does a good job of getting behinds to the ground. He’s a people-mover, and he played like a true upperclassman last year as a sophomore. He’s only getting better and could make a big jump in the next Prep Redzone update this summer.
Walter Mathis Walter Mathis 6'2" | 235 lbs | DL Calvary Day | 2025 GA Jr. – DL – Calvary Day
Another outstanding defensive tackle prospect and one of the top young defenders in the Savannah area, the Calvary Day standout is coming off a massive sophomore season where he made 50 tackles, 22 TFLs, six sacks and 12 more hits on the quarterback. The 6-foot-3 285-pounder is lighting quick off the snap for his size and lived in the backfield on a consistent basis. He’s a versatile lineman who can line up on the edge or on the interior. His quickness jumps out immediately, and his motor is a big reason why he should make a major jump in the latest Prep Redzone rankings. He can bull-rush just about every opposing lineman in the area and deliver a big hit on the quarterback. He showed game-changing ability, and his recruitment has really picked up this spring. He added a major offer from the Clemson Tigers this month and should see a lot more come his way over the next 12 months.
